24: Where are you from and how long have you been singing?

Casely: The hottest place in now literally South Florida. I was born in Miami and raised back and fourth between Broward and Dade. I’ve been singing for damn near my whole life, but recording in the studio for about 10 years now.

24: Who would you say were some of your biggest musical influences?

Casely:  My biggest influences are artist such as MJ(R.I.P), Prince, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway and Chromeo.

24: How did you get the attention of The Diaz Brothers which lead you to signing with them?

Casely:  The Diaz Bros actually found me on “Myspace“. I had been grinding as an independent artist and it turns out we had worked with a lot of the same people. Jim Jousin and P.M. to name a few. They actually sent me a couple of messages online that got ignored because I was used to so much people trying to get at me but were not serious. They were persistent and found my managers info and the rest is history.

24: How would you describe your sound and style?

Casely:  Both my sound and style are what I call “Retro-Futuristic” You’ll get the the dope vibes from the 8-‘s combined with sounds from the future.

24: You are currently blazing the radio with your single “Emotional”  which you have featuring Rick Ross and the remix with Flo Rida so tell me how did that record come about and when can the readers expect to see a video?

Casely: Miami is very tight knit and we support each other. We got a movement going on down here and the readers can check out the video on Youtube also at www.Youtube.com/casely.

24: I know your album is coming out soon so tell me about that and some of the other projects your working on currently?

Casely:  Look out for my album 1985 coming soon! The video for “Defend Dade” ft Pitbull. My single with Uncle Luke ft B.I. G., Pitbull, Ace Hood, Yungen and Billy Blue is out too. Get ready for my next single and just keep it locked in to Myspace at www.myspace.com/casely for all of my up and coming shows, news etc.

24: What advice would you give to other up and coming trying to get into the game from your experience so far?

Casely: Don’t stop grinding and surround yourself with people you trust. It’s a grimy game but stay true to your craft and push through it.

24: What else should everyone look out for from you in 2009?

Casely:  Just more and more heat.

Casely: Look out for “Defend Dade” and the Uncle Luke single “Playas Play” not to mention new latest single “All Day“.
