Charles Reed: My name is Charles Reed and I’m from Cleveland Ohio but now I’m living and loving it in beatuful Miami.Im up next in this music game and my position is R&b.

24: What was your inspiration for the hit single ”Fallin”?

Charles Reed: Well it’s a song about a guy that planned to just have a one night stand with a young lady and things didn’t go quite that way.  The lady ended up laying it down on him and now he is whopped.  Now he’s calling her nonstop … Now if you’re wondering if that happen to me?  I’m not telling ! I try to sing about real situations … things that anybody can go through.  I love women…I love everything about them and I have nothing but respect for them.I really strive for that when I write a song or choose a song to record.LL is not the only one that LOVES the ladies…CHARLES REED loves the ladies too ! 

24: What makes Charles Reed unique as an artist and different from other R&B singers?

Charles Reed: Truthfully that question always gets me cause you have alot of talented individuals in the world.Its more to me then just fame, fortune and girls its about touching people and being true to yourself…Trust me  No im no one hit wonder i work hard and sometimes get no sleep.

24: We know you have been working with many Poe Boy artists and making a name for yourself in Miami as well as other states how did your relationship with Poe Boy Records come about?

Charles Reed: Well my current label Star Studded Records & Poe Boy Records have been working together for years  I met E-class first at a Power event but one day I had took a ride with fellow artist L-Y, to shoot some footage for Billy Blue. When I was introduced to Big Chuck he started listening to some of my music and the rest was a wrap from there.

24: Is it true that you are cousins with Avant?

Charles Reed: Yeah that’s my Real Cousin! He has always been there encouraging me to do my thing an put me on shows with him. Hey maybe one day me and him will do a KaCi and JoJo thing together…lol  but yeah thats blood.

24: You’re new song Better has been burning up the airwaves tell us a little bit about the record? 

Charles Reed: “Better” is pretty much self explainatory and where I am right now when it comes to the ladies.    The song was produced by 2 Dimension, some new hot producers from Miami, the record is doing good and should be everywhere soon so stay on the look out for that.

24: What gets Charles Reed in the zone to write a hot song?

Charles Reed: Before I hit the studio, a show or any event, I sit in the ride and bump: Babyface “Grown & Sexy” & Young Jeezy “By the Way”, to put my swag meter on overload. REAL TALK!!!

24: What are you currently working on? 

Charles Reed: Counting my blessings. I’ve been in the lab creating, I do all genres of music so this here is going to be a movie. I’m putting together a bigger act …with dancers and everything. Im really excited about that.  I’m also putting together my marketing and promotion team  and trying  to stay on top of the business end of this game too. Some artists forget this is the MUSIC BUSINESS. Relationships bring business and loyalty keeps it good and that brings success.You can have talent but a real understanding of the business will keep you here and give you a career. 

24: How do you feel about the current state of music in general?

Charles Reed: Everyone is doing their thing …I’m doing mine. It’s really up to the public to buy what they like.  I do music that reflexs me not an image or to get attention.You get “Charles Reed” when you vibe to my music you get what I’m thinking about, what I’m about and what’s on my mind.

Charles Reed: Yeah I just wanna say I’m looking forward to this journey so stay tuned.Also I want to thank GOD and every one in my life thus far that has ever believed in me, I’m doing this for us. R.I.P Big Will and Toro.
