24:Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are?

Clint Dawg: Yeah my name Clint Dawg. I’m outta Orange County, Florida. I represent for all my dogs from Orlando. All my dogs that been grindin, tryin to put the city on the map. I put out my first solo mixtape in 2007 titled “Tru Orange County Reprezenta”. I been considered one of the “top” local artist in Orlando ever since.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Clint Dawg: I got into it awhile back with a group outta my hood called “Chozen Onez”. It was me, my dawg Nate aka Lil Indo, Ciggy, Tree, and Greeny Green. I was doin more beat making at that time. They the ones really got me rappin. They felt like I was raw. They the ones made me realize that I was raw.

24: What was the hip hop scene like for you growing up where your from?

Clint Dawg: Ha, well the “local” scene was the same way it is now. Everybody doin the same sh*t right now. Trying to blow the city up by all means! But nowadays it’s just more artists trying to do it. But as far as the music, Orlando be on some gangsta sh*t. You won’t find too many tight jean wearers or pop music wit dances to it. It’s more bout street life, G code, sh*t like dat.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Clint Dawg: What makes me different is because nobody can sound like me. You couldn’t imitate me if you tried! Most people say I sound like a polished major artist. Most find it hard to believe that I’m just an unsigned, local artist. EVERYBODY, including most of the other local artist tell me I should’ve been signed a long time ago. I hear it everyday.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Clint Dawg: Right now I got “The Pre-Snap” heavy in the streets right NOW!!!! It’s just a sample of what’s to come. If you don’t gotta copy you can check it or download @ http://www.reverbnation.com/clintdawg or http://clintdawgmusic.blogspot.com. The mixtape is coming mid September and it’s gonna be BIG! Y’all can stay posted @ Facebook/clintfla for updates. Outside of that, my first

“So My Baby” featuring Semi Ice is getting ready to hit them mainstream airwaves. I hope nigg*z don’t be lookin crazy when they hear me on the radio.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Clint Dawg: So far I been workin’ with my raw local talent. I got Supa Soundman who made my 2nd single “love it when they hate” featuring Brisco. I’m f*ckin wit my dog Phats from “It’s so phat” productions. I got tracks from Phil for Real and my dog Young Hollywood outta Miami. Oh yeah, I just got one from my big homie Ruff too. Any producers out there that’s wanna do something, send tracks to my email. clintdawgfla@gmail.com

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Clint Dawg: Yeah, I mean I don’t ever get negative feedback. I get phone calls with people telling me which song they like and I appreciate that. I always leave my personal number on my cd’s because I like talking directly to my fans. 407-259-7619. Everybody knows that number.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need that you don’t to make yourself a household name?

Clint Dawg: I don’t really know. I ain’t no household name…. Yet!! But I would say you gotta have TALENT first, maybe some charisma, some drive and some cash. You got those things then anythings possible.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Clint Dawg: I mean the mainstream scene is ok. I like what I like, and I don’t like what I don’t like. It’s gonna always be like that. But the local scene here is getting better, but still needs improvement. We be pushing hard but, I don’t know. Maybe it’s an Orlando conspiracy. I feel like we be getting blocked somehow. The only sh*t they do let go through is the sh*t they know ain’t gonna go nowhere. If they ever let me through it’s gonna be problems. I’m strong enough to take over the world.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Clint Dawg: Outside of music I’m working on my kids. Corey, and Ceajeah. Trying to raise them the right way. I’m blessed to have such great kids.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2011 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artists out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Clint Dawg: This year is gonna be my introduction to the masses. I did it on a local level for so long. I’m Finna spread my wings and take off. My main thing right now is mainstream radio. I’m talkin state to state. Im’a need for the people out there to request me as much as possible. We gone make it happen.

24: How can fans go about contacting you?

Clint Dawg: You can reach me at 407-259-7619.
