24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Close Up & CC: We’re Close Up & CC from Sarasota, Florida, trying to get big in the rap game.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Close Up & CC: For both of us it was just the love that we had for hip hop music in general, Growing up all we ever listened to was Hip-Hop and R&B so we decided why don’t we start trying to make our own music.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Close Up & CC: For Close Up, Hip-Hop music was everywhere because he grew up in Philly. So it was a lot of east coast rap like Jay-Z. All of his friends listened to Hip-Hop music and his parents did as well so he really was just born into it. For CC he grew up in The Grand Cayman and all they listen to down there is Hip-Hop and Reggae music which you can hear in the music he makes today. And being from the Caribbean the rhythm comes naturally.

What makes us unique as artists is that we don’t just try to copy everyone else. We really just want to be Close Up & CC, not anybody else. We also come with unique traits and rapping skills that not alot of people in the rap game have today.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Close Up & CC: We are currently working on Loud Pack Music 2 right now so you could probably expect that out sometime in January or February.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?
Close Up & CC: We really haven’t worked with many known producers as of right now, just local producers and CC makes most of our beats right now. We would like to work with producers like Chuck Inglish, J. Cole, Kanye West, Ryan Leslie, Hit-Boy, and the Neptunes in the near future.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Close Up & CC: We are completely stoked about the feedback we’ve been getting from Loud Pack Music. We really do appreciate all of our supporters and thank them for the positive feedback.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Close Up & CC: You got to get a solid fan base going, your networking game has to be on point, you got to listen to your fans, and most of all you just got to make dope shit, nobody wants to hear lame music.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Close Up & CC: We honestly feel like the Hip-Hop scene is at a high point now and it’s expanding and we like how there is a wide variety of rappers now a days. Yeah there is some rappers who completely take it down but most don’t and keep it alive and still breathing.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Close Up & CC: Right now, were currently trying to get some merchandise made for Close Up & CC, so if you make shirts and clothes and things like that’s send it our way.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Close Up & CC: We see ourselves starting to gain mad buzz in 2012 for sure. What separates us is that we don’t just say the same old shit that most rappers say we’re trying to come into the rap game as unique as possible.
