24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.
Comitted: My name is Jeremy Lambert I’m 26 years of age, stage name Comitted, was born and raised in the little island of Bermuda…
24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?
Comitted: Okay, growing up I always had a love and genuine passion for music, i started playing the drums at a real early age and had a natural ear for music. So as i grew up always hearing oldies my father played in the house the different sounds and melodies captivated me. I started to listen to Hip-Hop at the age of 10 and I loved the poetry and stories it had to offer. Being a huge Diplomat fan (Dipset) inspired me to explore hip hop more by actually writing my own rhymes and taking it a little bit more serious.
24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?
Comitted: Being from an island reggae is the most popular genre of music, so I wasn’t really exposed to a lot of Rap/Hip-Hop music until I started taking a real interest in it. I remember being over a friends house and him being American, was playing Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and it captivated me. I went home and searched more of their music and I just became a real fan of Hip-Hop ever since.
24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?
Comitted: That’s a good question… I think me just being myself and having my own identity, not trying to sound like anyone else, having my own style and flow i think makes me diff. and unique from other rappers out now…
24: Tell us about what you are working on.
Comitted: I recently just released my 6th Mixtape entitled “Who I Am.” I’m currently working on my demo called “Comitted 2 Tha Game” which does not have a release date as of now, I’m just taking my time with it so i can have a great body of work for the fans.
24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?
Comitted: I have worked with Kajmir productions, Rockitpro productions,
evolution beats, Sinima beats just to name a few. I’m a fan of Heat Makers, of course Timbaland, The Neptunes Dr. Dre and more. As for artist ill like to work with Young Jeezy, T.I., The Diplomats, Talib Kwali, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Drake and Ne-Yo also Chris Brown. Pretty much anyone who loves what they do and can teach me and show me things that can help take me and my music to the next level…
24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?
Comitted: Yeah, I’m happy with the feed back and I’m also open to criticism when I know it’s coming from ppl that have faith in what I do and wanna see me be successful…
24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?
Comitted: I have aspirations to one day have my own music label so with every project i do and release I always brand it with my own label called Truplaya ENT. I like to think of myself as not just an artist but a whole movement…
24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?
Comitted: I think were more concerned about just money and making music for the moment, then actually making music that’s timeless and has substance. I love lyrics and being creative then just having a real catchy beat and hook.. But to each is own..
24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?
Comitted: Always working on myself and always trying to maintain and grow as a individual… I feel like if I always do that then the music I make will mature and always get better…
24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?
Comitted: Right now, I’m just gonna continue to make music to the best of my ability. I think as long as i stay true to myself and continue to remain humble then doors will open for me, just gonna let the music speak for itself and the people will gravitate to it. I never really gave myself a real chance to pursue getting a record deal and see if i have what it takes, so this year i wanna explore that and just leave it in God’s hands. If its meant to be then it will happen for me…
24: How can fans go about contacting you?
