24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where you’re from?

Dejah: Known as Dejah “The R&B Misses” born in Miami , Fl. What started off as a hobby has led me into a career choice that some may say is risky and not so promising but I’m up for the challenge. I’ve always enjoyed singing, acting, modeling, and writing but decided to make it my main focus at the age of 13 after being in a real live studio for the the very first time.

24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world? 

Dejah: Originality and Variety! An advantage of mines is the ability to recreate myself on any track making my deliverance as well as my approach totally different every time.  I once read “make music that moves your soul”.  It’s my sole purpose to make music that fans can relate and connect with me not as an artist but as an individual.

24: Who are some of the people that influence you musically?

Dejah:  My influences definitely come from artist such as singers Lauren Hill, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Mariah Carey,  Monica, India Arie, Beyonce, Keyshia Cole.

24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on?

Dejah: I’m currently working closely with a producer writing & referencing tracks which will be shopped to both independent/major labels. I’m  featured on tracks with local artist on the rise such as Eady (the new face of Miami), Dred Scott, Robb hood, Cee Tension, Tommy Trouble and Hound, just to name a few. I’m also in the process of putting together my own album. 

24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?

Dejah: Some of the producers I’ve worked with are Cash matters (Big Banks productions), Keys Da Don (RSC productions), ATG (Beach 2 the beans) Dimarco the great (Magic city records)and Smoke Diesel. As for future collaborations I’m hoping to join the movement and work with some of Florida’s finest producers such as Gorillia Tech, Cool & Dre, Jim Johnson, The Runners, Scott Storch, etc. It would be an honor to also work with Missy Elliot, Kanye West, Pharell, Pollow Da Don , Jazzy Pha, Jermaine Dupri, Swiss Beats, Dark Child, Corner Boyz, The list goes on and on.

24: What label if you could choose would fit you perfect?

Dejah: When you hear the name Def Jam what comes to mind? Considering their history , it’s one of my ultimate goals to be sign with Def Jam. Think about it, with artist such as LL Cool J, Jay Z, Nas, Neyo, Ludacris, Rihanna and even Young Jeezy. They have all had productive yet stable careers with in the industry. So Mr. Reid if you’re reading this and you’re interested please have your people contact my people(lol).â�¨â�¨â�¨

24: What should the readers look out for from you in the near future?

Dejah: Everything! Dejah isn’t just an artist it’s a brand and it’s coming to a city near you(lol).
