24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are?

Dela Candela aka “The Streetsweeper of Dade”. Bout to take all these flaw niggaz out the muthafuckin’ game ya heard me? Real recognize real and I don’t recognize none of y’all niggaz. For everybody that don’t know who I am already, you’ll know real soon. The best way to put it is; I am the future.

24: What separates Dela as an artist from other rappers?

Dela Candela: I’m so versatile. To the point where you won’t know it’s me on a song. On every song, you’ll think it’s another rapper on the record. You’ll hear Dela but the version of Dela that I want you to hear on that specific song.

24: You quit rapping for awhile but got back into it, so what was it that made you want to get back into the game?

Dela Candela: I went to party for two years out in Vegas. I quit this rap shit. When I came home, people were like “Where’s that new Dela? Where is he? What’s going on with him?” so basically one day hip-hop came knocking on my door so I answered it and here we are.

24: Tell the readers about your upcoming mixtape?

Dela Candela: The new mixtape is gonna be hot! You can expect no features from any artists, local or major on this tape. It will just be my blood, sweat and tears. I talk about all the events that have gone on in my life like my big brother committing suicide, my niggaz dying whether it be from guns, drugs or whatever. I got so many stories I could write a book and make it into a movie so that’s what I want to give to the people.

24: Was it conscious decision not to have any features on the mixtape?

Dela Candela: No disrespect to the artists that wanted to be on it or to the artist I wanted to be on it but on this mixtape I’m pouring out my life to the people and I wanted the people to appreciate me as an artist first before anything.

24: What producers did you work with on this project?

Dela Candela: The producers I worked with range from Kiddo, Hugo Diaz, LOS, Joe Capo, and a few others. As far as production goes I have a great team. I probably have the best team in Miami. Shout to Lu Diaz too.

24: When will the mixtape grace the shelves/available for download?

Dela Candela: The mixtape should be dropping in the next month or two. We’re not sure about the name but we’re playing around with a few titles. If any of the fans like any of the titles, just hit me up at www.Delacandela.com.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2010?

Dela Candela: To the muthafuckin’ moon. I see myself skyrocketing in this game.

24: What are you currently working on?

Dela Candela: The mixtape of course, some pop records, dance records, I’ma always have them gangsta records, you already know. Laid-back, smooth records you can chill out too and have a good time to.

24: How would the fans go about contacting you?

24: Thank you for providing 24hourhiphop.com with this exclusive interview, do you have any last words for your present and future fans?

Dela Candela: Look out for me because I’m bout to take over and this rap game is gonna be mine. Y’all rappers just some fishes and y’all got a shark coming after you. Shout out to Huge Music Group, Brickhouse Records, Jennifer Rodriguez, LOS, just niggaz that gave me a home when I was astray. I gotta keep it real with niggaz like that so that’s why I’m here.
