Check out his interview below and let us know what you think!

24HHH:  Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are?

DON DIZ: My name is Don Diz

24HHH: How did you come up with your Artist name? Tell us about it.

DON DIZ: At first when i started i used to call myself Flex Dizzle but people kept getting me confused with another artist with the same name, so i decided to change it to Don Diz.

24HHH: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

DON DIZ: I'm from Providence RI, I've learned alot growing up in Rhode Island. It was a bit of stuggle for me as a kid going into my teenage years, I've always lived in an area where there were murders, drug traffic, typical inner city negative activity that alot of people and friends i grew up with were involved in. Fortunately, I'm still alive and blessed.

24HHH: Who were you raised by? Tell us your family situation. Got any brothers, sisters, or any siblings? Tell us about your childhood, and how it impacted your music?

DON DIZ: I was raised by both of my parents for the most part of my life, but their was a time at the age of 7 – 11 or 12 where both my parents were incarcerated on felony charges. those 4-5 years were the worst toughest years of my life that i will never forget. Between living with an uncle who didn't care, to not eating at night, sleeping in cars with my lil sister, begging people to let us use there house phones to contact my uncle who was barely around, stealing food from stores because we were hungry, to barely even spending time with my baby sister and half brother & sisters who were living with my step mother at the time. those years were hard. I think the only good thing that came out of that situation was hip hop, a lot of my friends those days were into rapping and at first, i used to shy away from it but i would always write my rhymes and spit it to my lil sister who never understood a lyric but would always tell me i was nice lol.

24HHH: What age did you start making music?

DON DIZ: I started actually writing full songs when i was about 14 years old. I had tons of rhymes but no song for the longest time. i recorded my first song with my homie Faze at this producer's studio name Maff, never looked back ever since.

24HHH: What inspired you to pursue making music?

DON DIZ: Hip hop inspires me to make music. Growing up in the 90's, lyrics was a big thing and you had to be nice to get the respect you wanted and thats what inspires me, creativity and hot lyrics.

24HHH: What artists/producers do you work with? Or rubbed shoulders with?

DON DIZ: I've worked with plenty of underground artist & producers most of them are upcoming such as myself. I also look forward to working with big names as well later in the future. Right now, ive been doing alot of solo projects but ive been working with producers like Ty Nitty out of Hartford Ct. & Dizzle Productions out of RI.

24HHH: What else you got coming out? New Album? or Mixtape/EP?

DON DIZ: Right now i'm just working on building my brand and networking. I have a new clothing line I'm working on called "Team Himmy" I'm putting out this year so thats something people can look forward to in the near future.

24HHH: Tell us about your newest single "My Life", how did you come up with that, share us the story?

DON DIZ: My latest single is called "My life" off my latest mixtape "New Diz City" , it pretty much reflects on the grind & hustle everybody goes through day to day no matter what your job or hustle is. I feel like people can relate to it and appreciate it because most people understand that life itself is a grind. When i wrote it, I wanted to show the people and my fans that im grinding everyday just as hard as they are and that we are all soldiers of the same struggle. The video for my life will be out shortly this year, stay tuned for that.

24HHH: Any new travel plans, what you got going on?

DON DIZ: My next move I'm actually planning a trip to LA just to network, meet people and build relationships. Im also planning a mini tour torwards the end of the year but i'll have details for that on a later date.

24HHH: What is the biggest thing to happen in your career/?

DON DIZ: The biggest thing that happened to me so far was being able to schedule a meeting with Lenny S. from Roc Nation and getting my music to him. It was a great look getting the opportunity to actually sit down with him knowing who he is and what he's done for some of our favorite artist. That meeting motivated me to bring my talents & music to the highest level.
