Many artists in Miami are recognized by their material and the amount of airplay that receives circulation. It has always been common knowledge that some make it and some don’t, however they keep on their focus and continue to make a name of themselves. I think the saying goes; an artist is only as strong as his marketing, basically pertaining to how hard their street team or even themselves is out on the grind on a regular basis. It exists without saying.

One such artist developed an image through the dedication of his street team and of course his music. His posters can be practically seen all across Miami, if you driven down major streets up and down the South you’ve seen his face once or twice on every corner and light post. The name behind the face is a man who goes simply by Eady, real name, no gimmicks. With his hit single, ‘Dope Pusher,’ which is also on 24hourhiphop.com’s On Demand section as well as blazing in the streets, there is no telling when and where this talented artist will pop up next. This is an exclusive interview with the new face of the South, the one and only Eady.

24: First off, how is everything with the infamous Eady?

Eady: Everything is good. I’m living life, everything is looking up right now, there’s nothing wrong for me to complain.

24: Is there a meaning behind your name Eady or is it short for something?

Eady: There’s really no meaning behind it that’s my last name, that’s the name my parents have.

24: Before we get into your music, let’s get a brief synopsis into your history, where did it all begin for you?

Eady: In a production studio in someone’s room, it was just a keyboard, mixshift, some speakers, and a mic and that was it and we got working.

24: What inspired you to pursue an illustrious career in the rap game?

Eady: It’s just my passion for it, I don’t see it to be more then that it’s just what I do, so I pursue it like that it’s not like I’m just in it for money or fame, it’s just something I like to do so why not live my life and base my career on something that I like to do.

24:Now let’s get a little more acquainted with your music,I’ve spoken to many artists about their written lyrical matter, they have told me over numinous occasions that when they sit down and analyze a certain beat that it kind of speaks to them and tells them what to write, does the same idea go for you?

Eady: I don’t know, sometimes the beat can talk to you, but most of the time it’s just a vibe or a connection you just can’t let the beat tell you what time it is. You have to have some type of control over the track it has to come together like a one on one agreement. You play your part as the beat and I play my part as the artist you know you have to make people’s heads bob.

24: What producers have you worked with so far, as a matter of fact who produced ‘Dope Pusher?

Eady: I produced that track, you know I do my thing or whatever I don’t want to boast on it or whatever but I do it.

24: As a matter of fact, speaking of your lyrics, the single you are pushing ever so heavily, ‘Dope Pusher,’ which is on 24hourhiphop.com at the moment, describes some interesting themes, where did all that hardcore inspiration come from?

Eady: Everything with me is like the streets, I run with things that I’ve done in my life the streets really inspire me. Dope pusher wasn’t just saying, ‘I’m a dope pusher,’ it was just something for everybody who was pushing dope it’s like, ‘damn I got a track for me when I’m in the trap,’ the streets are inspired by that.

24: Do you think with a track called ‘Dope Pusher,’ it would be kind of hard to push it commercially?

Eady: With Dope pusher there was a problem, but I came up though, I came up with ‘The Pusher.’ So I switched it up.

24: So when will we finally see an Eady album grace the streets and the world?

Eady: I’m working on something; just know it’s coming soon.

24: What other themes do you plan to incorporate into your debut album?

Eady: Really nothing different I’m just trying to incorporate the streets into my album. I have to put that first because that’s where I came from that’s all I know, so I have to speak about that I do touch my spiritual side every now and then, every gangster do it. We pray to somebody no matter who you worship, but yeah the streets, I have to talk about money, I’m going to do things in an intricate way so that everyone knows I am mature.

24: What producers do you want to work with on your album?

Eady: It’s some producers I want to work with, but I have to stay in my budget. I have to be real I have to see what my budget allows me to do but in the future I’m fucking with Timbaland and artists and producers who are down here as well.

24: What does the future hold for Eady?

Eady: Only God knows, so I can’t even tell you what the future holds, it’s blowing up right now and I just hope it continues to blow up, it’s looking good though.

24: As we are all aware, Hip-Hop is in a slow decline, what are you doing to assist it from leisurely declining?
Eady:
You just have to show where you can be different you have to show wisdom nothing is perfect there’s always going to be a loop whole around it to be honest hip hop isn’t dead I don’t feel it I just feel like it’s going through a little something just trying to figure it’s way out.

24: How would the fans go about contacting you?

Eady: They can hit me up on the myspace, www.myspace.com/eadymusic and the big bank website that’s www.bigbankmusicgroup.org and my email eady.bigbank@gmail.com, you can hit me up on that.

24: Thank you for vibing one on one with 24hourhiphop.com, do you have any last words and shout outs?
