24: Introduce yourself to
our readers online and worldwide around the globe

Edotmazing,
“The Blind Truth ” out of Washington, D.C.

24: Early in your career after already
performing for names such as Mayor Marion Barry and Jessie Jackson and working
on your craft for some time you were approached by an individual you had little
knowledge of by the name of  Chuckey Thompson. I’m aware he bumped into
you while rapping with some friends nearby and wanted to speak with you but
unfortunately 2 days later you were arrested and sent to DC jail and were
facing 58 years fortunately the charges were dropped describe to me what was
going on with you then and how things came to be how they were.

In
that position actually I was you know like living for the moment. Now I live
for my kids, and for the future. Everything I do is for a reason now I’m a
family man.

24:  Tell me how was it like
growing up in DC. Tell to me some of things you went through growing up and how
you got into and how you began rapping and becoming who you are today.

Washington, DC is devious a lot of peer pressure and you can easily get
involved with the wrong people. Money there‘s a lot of losers. You know, you
see the neighborhood person on the corner, and you wanna be like him. He got
the big car, the money, and everything you see on TV I wanted to be a rapper
fly like them. Down here, rap is not really the main source of needs.. So when
you say, someone says why rap, they just say stupid fly. But with my talent
that I say I rap. You know I write movie toward my rap. People pay attention.
Ever since I started doing it, everybody tells me like “Hey you can be one of
the greatest ever. You can bring the city you know in the rap game”. In DC, there
is no hip hop superstar. They say I can be that hip hop superstar, so I’m
confident I believed in myself that I can be the next hip hop superstar.

24: There came a point in
your life where you had leave to the music scene for a while to aid to a friend
that was in the time of need. Tell me about that situation and what took place
in that time period in your life.

That
situation I felt like that was my chance. That you know xxx like I blew it just
over a dumb mistake, and I might not never have another chance. I would for the
rest of my life knowing this is like being behind bars. I feel It was a friend
that I grew up with that I knew since 3yrs old. It’s in the song “You are my
Nigga Tho”, and I thought you know this was my brother. Basically I was in
Atlanta, and I had a buzz where I could have made it. The first time he called
me he said he was shot and he was going through whole lot back in Washington,
DC. I dropped everything in ATL, and came back home to be by his side in DC.
Years later, I’m stuck down here in DC I had to start over turned back to the
streets, and everything. When I got shot, he wasn’t there for me, so you know
like he is still my nigga tho..

24: In 1996 you started a
rap group along with two of your friends while in high school in Atlanta and
worked out a studio called the Bat Cave. Tell me about that situation and what
made you guys come together.

 It
was two boys from the gutter of Georgia, you know Marietta, GA We found a rap
group. We were getting a little buzz out of Atlanta.  I got a call from
Washington, DC that I had to go back. Then I found out years later they were
signed with a major label under serving the piece of Ludacris DTP Label. I
could have been apart of that you know if I didn’t go back home to Washington,
DC you know to aid my friend my nigga tho.

24: In 2000 while looking through to a
source magazine you decided to reach a label which was looking for new talent.
I’m told you called the label started rapping on the message for 5min less then
a few minutes later you were called back. The label invited you to California
to showcase your skills round trip flight with all the expenses paid. How did
it feel to be in that situation, and what was your mind state like knowing you
were about to be in front of top label executives.

 I
always live to a point where the opportunity happens, you have to grab it. I
called, and drop a freestyle for 5+mins. I had a 9 to 5 job a good one at the
time, and my boss says you can’t go to LA.  I feel as though you just only
need your one shot to make it big, so i went to LA without my boss permission.
I believe you shoot for the stars or if you miss it then you just walk out of
that place. When I went down there, everything was just real shady. They wanted
me to stay out there and everything . And then I talked to somebody and they
said it’s not a good deal because they are a building label just starting. And
I wanted to try to limit myself.
I had a friend Brady, and my wife was calling me every day saying come home. I
just couldn’t stay in LA not at that time, so I went back to DC.

24: How is it that you are
able to paint a perfect picture of life being that you are blind how do you do
it?

 I
always have, since I‘ve been young,  I have unbelievable imagination
that’s like incredible. I have a photographic memory, so like if I have never
seen you before we talk. Thur talking to you I can tell how you look Thur your
voice, and vibe. You know like what I see I could just like Picaso paint the
picture of you to words.

24: I’m aware you were ill for sometime
and had diabetes is that what caused you to become blind?

 I
mean. It could be worsen I could be done in 50 years, and I could be dead. I’m
not down about anything everything happens for a reason and this is my reason

24: Tell me about your new music project
is there an album in the works

 EP
is in the work after the third or fourth mixtape and the documentary.

24: I’m aware you were were featured in
the Documentary “Thug Life In Dc” tell me a bit about that and how
that came about and how was it like for you being involved in gangs are you
still an active member.

 No.
No. Life in DC. I was in the show cause I was a teenager, and they said I could
face up to 58 years in jail for a crime. Me being a young juvenile I know you
can’t speak in court. I spoke out, and the judge ask about my confidence. I was
like “ what the fuck is confidence?. They gave me 30 days evaluation. By the
28th day , my lawyer came and said the charge has been dropped.

24: Who are some of the
artist’s that have inspired you musically?

 I
say Master P for the path he set with his business endeavors. Puff Daddy for
how hard he works. TI I respect for all he has been through. Will Smith for
longevity, and me for what I’m about to do for the rap game.

24: Tell me about how you
met Kirk Franklin a few years back working at Bat Cave studios

 I
was in studio B and he was in studio A. I had studio B Rocking going off on the
hook. He stopped his section and wanted to know what’s going on with me. He
said hi , and wanted everybody to come over to studio A. He asked me to step in
studio A to go over the track from Sona Testbook. Kirk Franklin said my genre
of music was to hard for him. It was great to meet Kirk, and I hope we can work
together in the near future.

24: Where do you see yourself in 5
years?

 Five
years probably biggest artist in the hip hop game, and a household name.

24: How do you feel about life in
general how does music play a role in your well being and mind stat day in and
day out?

Life
is good right now. My kids are healthy & strong. I’m healthy and strong I
have nothing to complain about.
