24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Faded: This ya boy Faded. Artist/Producer outta South Florida! Originally from CT… I see ya 203!! I moved to South Florida about 8 years ago, so my blood has def thinned up a little. My music is a product of my life and how I feel on a day to day basis. I’m looking to Inspire and be Inspired and I’m always looking for that real thing, whatever it is!!

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Faded: My older brother had a big influence on my Hip-Hop knowledge and experience… it seemed he was always ahead of the game… I was exposed to all aspects of Hip Hop at an early age, the good and the bad… but as far as my love for the art, I’ve always had a story to tell or things to say but could never get them out the right way… this is the only way I know to truly express myself…

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Faded: Shhhiiiittttttt! I grew up on the east coast… In my opinion that was when Hip-Hop was at it’s best. East coast held it down. Artists from Wu Tang, Biggie, AZ, Lost Boyz, Mobb Deep, Bone Thugz, Capone & Noreaga, Jay-Z, Nas, etc… all shaped who I am as an artist… but no one had a bigger impact on me than Tupac, the way he put everything into his lyrics, he spoke from the heart and didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought… a true artist!

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other Rappers out now?

Faded: I would say I’m different from other artist cause I’ve lived and experienced two different hip hop scenes from the northeast and the south and I bring both together. I live what I speak, what I rhyme, there’s no bullshit!

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Faded: Me and my team just completed my debut mixtape “Faded Life.” Working hard on pushing and marketing that. I always stay writing new music, so look out for the next mixtape soon. Also working on building my label Faded Life Productions and producing other artists as well as myself.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Faded: I have a couple beats produced by Johnny Juliano on the tape that are dope. Im working on producing more of my own beats as well. As far as producers I wanna work with.. def Johnny Juliano, I think his beats are unique and def one of a kind.. If were gonna get a real wish list, I would def say, Kanye, 40, T-Minus, Hit Boy… to name a few.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Faded: Yeah man, I’m excited about the future. I don’t lack confidence in my skills at all but positive feedback is always good. I’ve heard all good things. I appreciate all the people that support me.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Faded: Keep putting out quality music, lyrics, promote, promote, promote!!!! Some artist think its just gonna come to them, you gotta go get that shit!

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Faded: I mean, it’s definitely different and has changed from when I was first coming up. Drake, Weezy, MGK, Wiz, Kanye are definitely doing their thing. I like how a lot more rappers are putting emphasis on their live shows!! Wiz has his live shows on point!

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on.

Faded: Music is by far number 1, I really focused on pushing that, but if there is anything else it’s building my brand and label as a whole. I wanna cover all aspects of the Hip-Hop game.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artists out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Faded: I’m planning on taking my talents to South Beach this year! Ha, but for real though Miami’s where it’s at. Really wanna get wit some producers down there and get my shows up. Definitely gonna stay coming wit those fire lyrics though, that will never change!!
