On a sunny Florida September day I got the opportunity to vibe with one of Miami’s most aspiring upcoming artist today. And for a dude who’s personality is so charismatic, you have only got to know, that his future is nothing less then bright especially with a nickname like Billion. Never scared to let the world know “He’s on his way” Trick Daddy’s protege` continues to beat the street’s up dropping hit after hit that you could never not have on your favorite mix CD to bump and ride to while driving alone or parlaying with friends. No further due I present to you a exclusive 24hourhiphop interview with the man who’s making a name for himself, Mr. Iceberg Billion.

24: So how does it feel to be a hood superstar buzzing in the streets of your hometown?

Iceberg: Let me try to explain it. Truly, I like to compare myself to gangster’s,(IceBerg hits the train horn on his dunk) like John Doe, Bub, and Trav. I’m not saying I’m any of these guys but shit that’s how it feels. I can’t explain it, you have to be with me here on the passenger seat of my Chevy and see how about 15 little kids come chasing behind my car. Or when I hit the train horn about two or three times and a random dude who catches it all this says to his friend “Yep, that’s that nigga they digging”. That’s the best way I can explain it because I don’t compare myself to nobody because I’m not like that.

24: Where are you actually from? I first got a whole of your earlier mix tapes out there in the Norland area?

Iceberg: I represent everywhere because I just can’t be bias to Miami. It’s too small to be bias here! One day I was coming in on a flight gazing out the window of the plane you know, just before you land and you can basically see the whole city. An your whole little section of where ever your from. So I’m looking at Joe Robbie Stadium, because that’s like the only noticeable thing.  Then I start putting shit together like okay, there’s Joe Robbie, so my house is somewhere over there. Then I realized this city is not that big you feel me? I was born in Liberty City, then I moved to Carol City, then I moved to Miramar. I hang out in the city all day so I can’t really tell you where I’m from(lol).

24: I know your a member of the Dunk Ryder group are you actually signed to trick daddy’s label? Because I also hear you mention Cash money a lot?

Iceberg: Yes, I’m signed to Trick Daddy to the fullest, and this is what I hate! I really hate when I go somewhere and they be like “Yeah Trick Daddy’s Dunk Ryder’s in the building Slip N Slide nigga!”. I hate that shit, it aint no “Slip N Slide” it’s Trick Daddy’s label Dunk Ryder’s and  Cash Money that’s it! There is no Slip N Slide!

24: How do you feel about the new breed of artist starting to represent and get shine out here in the local scene and in Florida period?

Iceberg: I love it, I love it! Because nigga’s can actually do what the fuck we been wanting to do for the longest and I love it. Just how everything is sticking together, though there are some outside nigga’s that try to break  down the “Unity” and try to diss nigga trying to cause this and that. But at the end of the day it’s still a circle, it’s that shit probably helps chop up things in the circle but a the end of the day it’s still one big circle of artist doing their thing and I love it. It’s similar to Houston a long time ago, becausenigga’s that you and me never heard of were like the biggest shit in Houston. You feel me? Is like artist been doing they own little mix tapes and shit as far as they city go. Them niggas is really celebrity’s in they city but you and me never heard of these niggas. Miami is just starting to get like that, you have Greezy and Brisco. Then you have Under Surveillance, you got Bizzle, Iceberg, and the Dunk Ryders! I mean you got all these nigga’s to name like Billy Blue. It’s way too many to name. I just love this shit I love it.

24: What makes Iceberg different from all the other new comers in the game now ?

Iceberg: I don’t know, shit you tell me(Lol). I don’t know my status right now. People tell me what make me different is because they see me at the jams and they see me at the parties that’s  about to get shot up in five minutes, ya know? They see me still riding through the School Zone, I don’t know what makes me different. My momma tell me that what make me different is my stupid ways. I’m still in the street like that it’s just who I am. The niggaz that I’m surrounded by they still in the street so I’m where ever they go. I love the stupid Clubs like Studio A and any Club that play my shit where niggaz are allowed to wear shorts and shit. When I go to the Club’s on South Beach with Trick I don’t like that shit I just feel like “Get Me Out Of This Shit”! That’s what makes me different I guess or we can let the people tell it.

24: I know you have a mix tape out in the streets now, what’s the name of it and when is the album dropping?

Iceberg: It’s called Bandana Musik, and as far as the album we’re working on that shit right now. It’s Called Trick Daddy presents Dunk Ryders…. Dunk Ride or Die! Bandana Musik has been  really been fucking up the streets right now, seriously!  I’m probably going to do like two more installments of it. I’m just waiting on niggaz to drop hits so I can get on they shit officially or unofficially it don’t matter to me.

24: What are some of the things that influence you as a artist?

Iceberg: I liked the Squad Up when I was in Middle School. Squad Up was hot and the shit out then. Me and my homeboys always use to listen to all the Squad Up mixtapes. At that time they wasn’t even really remixing niggas shit they was just ripping other niggas shit simple and plain. It’s like buddy you dun drop this song and I’m about to rip dis beat and what? An I’m going to be doing straight 32 bars just snapping. No disrespect but I’m going to snap on ya beat, feel me? I also listened to Lil Wayne. Oh, and  Jeezy! Yeah, Jeezy like do his little thing too on other people beat like that too. Jeezy also motivates me on the big scale too. Jeezy remix nigga’s beats and it end up being a official remix in like two months or it end up being better the original song cause they’ll play that more in the Club. So those two niggaz Lil Wayne, Jeezy and Squad Up.

24: Where do you plan to be in the next five years and who are you looking forward to working with in the studio?

Iceberg: It aint too many people that I want to work with like that realistically speaking. So I feel like if it happen it happen. I have done what I need to do as far as my league goes, because  I have done songs with the Piccalo’s, Brisco’s, Greezy, Ross, and Trick Daddy. So there aint too many people I want to work with who  I didn’t work with already. We’ll let me rephrase that I already have worked with who I quote on quote “Have” to work with you feel me. Just as far as the crib goes. The niggaz who you gotta come holla at Piccalo, Trick, Ross these the niggaz you gotta holla at as far as it goes with Miami because these are the niggaz making the biggest moves. But it is one person who I want to do a song with but probably by the time this interview come out we might already have a song together and that’s JT Money and you can quote me on that!

24: What’s is your remedy when it comes to making a hit record that will be hot in the streets?

Iceberg: Just do what you do! Don’t just try to do what other niggaz do because that’s where you get off track and get off course. You just got to do what you do and keep the shit simple. Like Piccalo (Des Loc) told me he made “Vibin” drunk, he didn’t even write it. He was “DRUNK” and that song was a smash hit last summer. For example we did “Fuck The Other Side” niggaz was making stick music and Vibe music. I ain’t say well let me drop a song like that,  I just did what I did, and that’s why Dunk Ryder’s got they own sound and on our next single you’ll see it more. We have yet to do a Stick and Roll, Juking, Pill Popping song. We are going to keep doing what we do. If a record like that comes it comes but not because everyone else has one is gonna make us do one.

24: How did it feel to have a song on radio and shoot a video ?

Iceberg: When I first heard myself on the radio(pause), shit I forgot how that actually felt  because it was like last year or two years ago. As far as shooting the video it felt like it was going to turn out to be a hot ass video. But I never really got to feel a certain way because our shit still never made it on TV because they banned our shit!  They hatting ass banned it. Banned it from TV.But we are still here making moves with no video, I’m still getting my nice little show money video or no video!

24: Where can your fans and other people who don’t know you as yet get the latest music and info on what you have going on?

Iceberg: Go to my page at www.myspace.com/icebergdr and when you go on its really just like any other hood nigga Myspace page. I ain’t got no thousand dollar Myspace it’s just a regular Myspace with about five or six bangers on there. I really be on my shit, so if I don’t write you back don’t be mad because its  a lot of people messaging me at the same time. So for any updates on shows or my new mixtapes hit me up(www.myspace.com/icebergdr)!

24: Any advice to artist trying to shake something to get there name out?

Iceberg: Just be yourself and don’t try to be somebody else. If you have a favorite rapper you can take little pointer’s from but be yourself. The same way you use to act in your classroom when you were in High School  be like that on the record, feel me? That’s my best advice. When people are talking to IceBerg they are talking to Teiron Robinson who went to Norland High and dropped out you feel me. It ain’t no fabrication or nothing like that it aint no putting on. No hitch just be yourself!

24: Any Shot outs?

Iceberg: Shot out to the whole Liberty City, all the hoods. The whole Carol City, Broward, Palm Beach and everybody that bump my shit. Everyone down South, and shot out to you fuck ass haters that still be hating because I’m fucking your bitch or because I’m better then you on the mic. Just be yourself that’s all I’m asking just be yourself. Oh, yeah shot out to that nigga talking about he the best. How you the best and you aint even doing no shows, boy you aint even getting no show money shot out to you(Lol). Shot out to him talking about “He’s The Best” and you cant even get on no songs with Iceberg, Brisco, and Ballgreezy. No Toro or none of the Miami niggaz that’s doing it right now. So how the fuck you the best? You can’t even get in contact with the niggaz that’s doing it, so shot out to him. Also shot out to all the DJ’s that bumping my shit! Shot out to 24hourhiphop.com for finally calling me because I am a fan of the website and I go on there and I read the interviews and I listen to new niggaz music and all that. I’m a fan of 24hourhiphop.com so it’s definitely a pleasure to be interviewed right now and you can quote me on this “Don’t make me seem flaw or like a fuck nigga. Or an illiterate nigga that don’t know how to talk. I know I might be stuttering a little right now but that’s just the  haze,  you feel me(Lol)”.

Well it’s been a pleasure in return to spend time with you IceBerg to get a better look inside the brain and man behind the mic, so keep doing your thing and on behalf of  the entire 24hourhiphop.com staff we wish you the best with all your career goals and dreams, One Love.
