24HHH: How did you come up with your Artist name? Tell us about it.
J.DIAMOND: IM SORRY CAN’T TELL YOU WHO I GOT MY NAME FROM OR HOW I GOT MY NAME BECAUSE I MADE A PROMISE TO SOMEONE THAT I WOULD EXPLAIN IT ON MY DEBUT ALBUM. BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR IT.
24HHH: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?
J.DIAMOND: “HELLO BROOKLYN” I’M ORIGNALLY FROM BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. CROWN HEIGHTS. I SPENT MY LATER TEEN YEARS IN STRONG ISLAND. ANYBODY WHO KNOWS NEW YORK KNOWS ITS FAST PACED AND EXTRAVAGANT. I LOVED IT. FROM THE MUSIC TO FASHION.
24HHH: Who were you raised by? Tell us your family situation. Got any brothers, sisters, or any siblings? Tell us about your childhood, and how it impacted your music?
J.DIAMOND: I WAS RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER WITH A HEAVILY INFLUENCED WEST INDIES BACKGROUND(TRINIDAD/JAMAICA). SHE WORKED HER ASS OFF TO MAKE SURE I HAD THE BEST (BEST CLOTHES, KICKS, GOOD EDUCATION, GOOD ENVIROMENT). THAT’S THE MAIN REASON WE MOVED TO THE SOUTH. I GOT 4 BROTHERS. MY OLDEST BROTHER PASSED AWAY (NOT TRYING TO GET TO DEEP IN THAT THOUGH).
