With T.I. headed off to the big house its only right that he started to look forward to the future and look to upgrade his label roster so things can move according to plan and keep the label alive while he’s locked up. Adding veteran artist like 8Ball & MJG, to up and coming artist like B.O.B., Yung LA who everyone might know from his single “Aint I“, Meek Millz out of Philly who made his name battling in Philly to JR Get Money from Atlanta. So I wanted to sit down with JR Get Money and find out how did he get the attention of Grand Hustle, to his future plans and projects and what he thought he could bring to the game as well as Grand Hustle. So with no further a due here’s one of the new young artist that T.I. is looking forward to holding down his team.

24: Where are you from and how long have you been rapping?

JR Get Money: I’m originally from N.O. but I moved to Atlanta when I was four. I started writing when I was about 14 and then I started to get serious when I was about 17. You know the kid been gifted(lol).


24: How did you get signed to Grand Hustle?


JR Get Money: I have to say I was making major noise in the streets then there bosses got up wit my bosses and we doing business now you dig!


24: What made you decide to go with Grand Hustle compared to another label?


JR Get Money: I just felt like working with T.I. one of my major influences would be more then music.  I’ve actually learned a lot about mastering my craft from him already. He’s a good teacher and I learned a lot already from him.


24: How would you describe your sound and style?


JR Get Money: To sum it up in one word, I would say “Da future”. In the next ten years I’m going to be the new Jay-Z of this game.

24: With so many new artist dropping albums and getting signed how will you separate yourself from the rest?


JR Get Money: My grind, to tell you the truth that’s what always separate the great from the everybody else. “Many are called, but few are chosen”.


24: Tell me some of the projects your working on?


JR Get Money: Right now I have my mixtape campaign going on, I’m planning on flooding the streets and the internet with new music from JR “Get money” . Shout out my DJ, K-Threat and all the other Green Hitz DJ’s.


24: What advice would you give to other up and coming trying to get into the game from your experience so far?


JR Get Money: If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything(lol), thats real talk.


24: What should everyone look out for from you in 2009?


JR Get Money: Straight “Hotness”!
