Who are you? Where are you from? What is your background / nationality?

My name is KeymahRenee and I am from Miami, Fl. I’m black.

How did you get your Artist name?

Me and my mom were going through different ideas And decided to use my middle name , Renée is one of them. She didn’t like just Renée and KRenée wasn’t cutting it. So we went with KeymahRenee.

What motivated you to get into Music?

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved singing. I loved putting on a show wether it be dancing or singing. My mom saw that light in me and of course did what she could to push me. I won my first pageant when I was 4.

What makes you unique / stand out as an Artist compared to the rest?

I think my voice and my style are what helps me stand out as an artist. I spent a lot of time in the church choir so my voice got a chance to develop into something crazy. And my style is something serious. I’m a trendsetter wherever I go.

Let our readers know some of the names of people you have worked with?

I’ve gotten a chance to work with a few artist here in south Florida. Baby Soulja, Jt of the City Girls, TheHoodBrat, LV , Brisco, Ronnie VOP , J’la Anderson, Betty Wright, just a few to name. I loved working with every single one of these artists because of their different styles. I got to learn something new and out the box. I was also honored to work amongst legends in the music game , like Brisco and Ms. Betty Wright.

What are somethings you would like to achieve and why?

If I can thug it as an independent artist that would be dope but I’m not opposed to getting picked up by a major record label such as Capitol Records. I just think that would be a really big break in my career. I also want to someday sell out Madison Square Gardens. I heard that once you do that you’ve made it.

What are some past achievement worth mentioning?

I’ve gotten to sing for some legendary people. Ruben Studdard told me to my face that my voice is like the voice of an angel. Betty Wright has told me that my range is Crazy ! Flo Rida has also given me personal advice with the business. These interactions are just a few examples but definitely mean a lot to me and my growth as an artist.

On a personal level, how would you describe yourself in detail?

I would describe myself as this bubbly, goofy girl who is also very tomboyish at the same time. Idk how that works but that’s it. You can catch a smile on my face the majority of my time awake. But if things hit the fan , that 305 in me hops out real quick. I swear I’m a lover naturally tho.

What is your latest single? What are you working on?

“Not Enough” is my latest single and it’s out on all Music platforms. Right now I’m working on an EP , it’s called Mixed Emotions. It’s coming sooner than later just wait on it.

In this music industry, what is something you learned the hard way?

Whew Chile! I’m very expressive as a person. I tend to take things to heart when I care. The biggest thing that I had to learn the hard way dealing with the music industry is that it could care less about how you feel. It’s a business. I had to learn to separate my feelings at times. I’m actually still learning.

How long have you been doing music? What got you into Music?

I’ve been doing music professionally for about 5 years. I’ve been singing since a very young age. My mom is a singer as well so she encouraged and helped push me and my dream.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself in the music industry and why?

I see my self selling out shows and traveling more in 5 years. I’ve been doing the ground work and it’s only a matter of time before I’m bussing down concerts.

Who were some music influencers you listened to while growing up? What do you remember when you think about them?

Honestly the artist that I listened to ranged from RnB to Gospel to hip hop. I listened to a lot of different styles and voices but I listened to Whitney Houston a lot. God Bless. I remember Whitney as fun, free spirited, and hard to not notice ! Along with Jennifer Hudson, Her belt was out of this world and it definitely plays a role in my development. Another person I listened to was Jazmine Sullivan. Her runs are something serious and she has crazy range and control.

To close out for your current and future fans, what are some last words and shout outs you want to give?

I just want to say thank you to each and every person that has been here through my journey , even if you are just getting here , Thank You. Never lose faith in what you believe in and always Obey Your Dreams. God is good but faith without works is useless. I love y’all and stay tuned because We only going up from here !
