24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your repping?
Kristen B: Hey World, The name is Kristen B. I’m Bad, Bossy and sometimes a Bitch(lol). I am from FarRockaway, Queens, New York.
24: What do you feel you’re bringing to the music world and what separates you from the next new artist?
Kristen B: By being “Myself”. I think Everyone is unique in his or her own way. Rather than being what the public wants me to be, I’m just going to be me!! It’s cool to be yourself and most artists don’t realize that. So in my music you’ll hear me! And hopefully the world can relate to Kristen B. It’s like a movie.Who wants to pay to go see what they have seen a thousand times already?
24: Who were some artist that you would say influence you musically?
Kristen B: Music is my therapy and I’m a fan before anything! Some of my influences are Prince, Jay-Z, Nas, Linkin Park, Cold Play, Kanye West, Beyonce, Stack Bundles, Lupe Fiasco, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Lil Kim and the list goes on! Each one of these artists brought a new element to the game that was missing!
24: Tell us about some of the projects you’re currently working on?
Kristen B: I’m closing out my mixtape scheduled to be released in February of 2009. I’m so excited and in January I am filming my first video for my single “POSE”, so world be ready!
24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?
Kristen B: I really enjoy working with new and up coming producers because I can feel their hunger and drive! I have been working with Roc & Lee of Trackteam. They are two young dudes from Queens with some crazy beats. I’ve also been working with Max Mills and Bottom Lock Music. I would love to work with Just Blaze, Kanye West and Timbaland and many more.
24: If you could choose any Major label or Independent label which would you choose and why?
Kristen B: If you would’ve asked me this question about five years ago, maybe I would’ve had a definite answer for you, but the industry and business is so different now. Not one label is really better than another in my opinion. It’s all about timing today. Right time, right record, right buzz! I don’t care how much money you have behind you and your project, if the timing is wrong on the slightest thing your album will brick!
24: What should the readers look out for from you in 2009?
Kristen B: Readers can look out for new music, videos, more shows and appearances. I’m just working hard and in the studio. I am going to make Kristen B. and Glitter Girls an unstopable movement.. Everything from event planning, calenders and even clothing.
24: How can someone find out more about you and check out your music?
