24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Lantana: What’s up people its Lantana straight out Cincinnati, Oh on my All hustle No Luck grind that’s the movement and the lifestyle.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Lantana: I grew up in the College Hill area of Cincinnati to a strong family. I was brought up to have principles and loyalty to my people it aint all about what you have in life its about the person that you are. My Pops had a big influence on me he showed me that nothing in life come easy you got to work for it.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Lantana: In Cincinnati growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s it was a lot of No Limit and Cash Money but you would still hear people rocking to Jay Z or a DMX and people like Trick Daddy and Scarface. Its like Ohio in the middle so we weren’t just getting one type of music it was just whatever had that feel to it. The Hot Boys had a big influence on me the whole movement with Mannie Fresh doing all the beats I just felt the originality. Jay Z gave that feeling like hell yeah I rap but im more than that just to have the ability to really rap and be a business man its not as easy as people think. I was always more drawn to the artist that had something to say rather than just be witty with words.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Lantana: The unique thing about me is that im me the drive that I have and my principles I stand for something. Every time you hear or see me it’s gone be Me straight up.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Lantana: It’s not easy to just get noticed anymore you have to put in real work to make people see you. It’s all about the grind having the product then finding a way to market it and then PUSH.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Lantana: Right now everybody is looking for their one big hit just getting out here just to say they working  so it dilutes the talent pool but I can’t knock people for trying to get some money and better there life. Music is what music is and it’s all about opinion I can bring you one person who says Jay Z is the greatest and turn around and bring you another who says he wack and Lil Boosie is better and who’s to say either person is right or wrong.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Lantana: Other than doing music, I work on the business that pertains to my music I have tunnel vision at the current moment a goal in mind that I have to reach so it’s no time off All Hustle No Luck.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Lantana: It’s a new year but the same grind and goal I just plan on out working everybody putting out good material and building the All Hustle No Luck brand as much as possible. I know ima give it my all everything I got so at the end of the day good or bad it is what it is but THEY GONE HAVE TO SEE ME.
