The second time around the Mazzarati crew has proven to the world that their name isn’t just a gimmick or product; it’s a movement to be reckoning with. They’ve proven to the masses that their music has a powerful following with the general public and on radio rotation across the nation. They’ve made it into the industry regardless of hate or doubt. The fans love their music and they definitely have more to come.

Their hit single ‘Ride It like a Pony’ pays homage to the late Static Major, basically bringing you the ‘Pony 2008.’ This song alone has catapulted them into stardom all across Florida. Mazzarati is a great example of what hard work and dedication can do for you in the run, everybody across the city limits know that they’ve been on their grind for a very long time. Longevity has brought them this far. This is the second interview with a well prospering Mazzarati.

24: First and foremost how’s everything with the Mazzarati boys since the last time we’ve talked?

K-Parn: We’re vibing, we’re doing much more, and we’re riding like a pony that’s what we’re doing right now.

24: Yourfresh new single ‘Ride it like a Pony’ is doing pretty well on the radio rotation, how far are you planning to take that and what are you looking for?

K-Parn: We plan on taking it as far as possible, Front Street, you know, every where it’s on the underground, it’s on 99 Jamz; it’s all around the world. Basically it’s in Connecticut, Michigan, Syracuse, so were taking it as far as it will take its self, it’s not about us, it’s about the music

24: Where did the inspiration or the concept for the song ‘Ride it like a Pony’ come from?

K-Parn: Well check it out this is where it comes from. I had the beat, I made the record, I produced it and when I was producing it I was like, I always wanted to do a song that had something to do with a pony and Static Major just so happen to die and I was like, ‘Man, in dedication to him I’m going to do a pony 2008 with a little bit of twist to it.’ So that’s how it came about.

24: The last time we talked I don’t think you mentioned Sequence Music Group to us; can you give us an idea of what S.M.G. is about and their mission?

K-Parn: S.M.G is about family, loyalty, it’s a record company me and my brother, Z.L., put together. It’s just all family, but basically it’s a company of good music, the best music, just like we the best music group with good music and that’s what we do that’s what it consist of.

24: What would you say sets you apart from every up and coming rap group trying to get into the game?

Fee: Everything in general, I mean just listen to the music. The topics that we’re coming on nobody really mastered, it how we’re doing it and we coming from the M.I.A. so were putting that little flavor to it and were MCs at that. We just don’t rap so that sets us apart from the upcoming rappers and people who have already established themselves.

24: With the Hip-Hop industry leisurely declining, what methods are you taking to assist in that decline?

K-Parn: Well, I mean people ain’t doing fun records anymore, it’s a lot of people saturating the game coming out with their record companies trying to do this trying to do that but it’s like nobody’s doing it for fun anymore. That’s the approach we’re taking, we’re having fun. We get the ladies up, but don’t get it twisted, ladies come first, the guys come second. We can do that later, but most of all we’re just having fun, doing fun records, talking about what people done, normally talk about some people are scared to ride it like a pony. We work ladies who aren’t afraid to ride it like a pony; you already know what time it is that’s what we doing you feel me.

Fee: We’re just trying to go another route were just being us, not trying to be like everybody else. We see how the game is, nobody is selling their records. We’re aiming for the clubs that feel good music, ‘ride it like a pony’ is just a sample, just lay around for it we have more in store.

24: As a matter of fact, speaking of the leisurely decline how do you feel about premature full album downloads linking to the net before reaching the stores?

K-Parn: I mean, it’s promotion, you have to leak it, has to be leaked, you have to look at the timing, the situation we’re in now, gas is expensive, I’m not asking anybody to buy my album, I’m going to give it to them for free, let them feel what it is instead of saying it’s this amount here you go you can have it for free and you tell me if you want to buy it or not. Let them download the shit.

Fee: Like he said, it will help us out as artists. Just go to myspace.com/mazzaratiboys and download that ‘ride it like a pony’ we’re just trying to get our stuff out here, I mean to some extent it helps and it hurts but at the end of the day it’s a good result.

Hitman: The more love you show, just in the record period, the more people is going to show love back. If we give out the record for free people at the end of the day are just going to show love like you know what, ‘I’m just going support these boys.’ They see us out here grinding everywhere, there at where we’re at, so it’s like we give it for free and get love back in return.

24: What does the future hold for Mazzarati?

K-Parn: The future holds the world, everything, you know, why because we don’t just do local music. A lot of local artist are stuck in Miami that’s why their records don’t pass Tallahassee, Mazzarati the name alone is broadband, it’s overseas, it’s elegance, therefore Mazzarati for the future. It’s big, it’s incredible, I don’t know what else to say other than that.

Fee: Mazzarrati is going to be here to stay for plenty of years more to come ya’ll just lay around for it.

Hitman: Just international music. It’s not only just one sound

24: When can we expect another mixtape from the boys of Mazzarati?

Fee: Man, the mixtape is coming real soon we have so much in store right now the mixtape is hitting stores soon though.

K-Parn: We have a mazzarati mixtape that is coming out ASAP with DJ Holiday the beast, yes it’s coming out ASAP in about a week, so ya’ll look out for that.

K-Parn: Big ups to all my haters.
