24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

I’m Mone The Jedi. I’m a new wave rapper from philly bringing some sneakerhead/ skater flavor to the upcoming genre of stoner raps.

24: Before we get into your music, briefly tell us your history about how you got into the industry and who were some of your inspirations?

I grew up in West Philadelphia PA, acquired a cali swagg and laid back Floridian attitude from moving around a lot throughout the course of my life. Being Jamaican and Syrian also brings much culture to my music and has greatly influenced my overall style. Staying Strictly Vegetarian and maintaining a healthy diet is also a major aspect of my life. Music has always been like a second nature for me, but I decided to take music seriously only about a year to a year and a half ago and since then, it only has only been major forward progression which I am endlessly grateful for. Some of my inspirations are Biggie, Bob
Marley, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Bun B, and Bone Thugs to name a few.

24: In your opinion, what do you feel sets you a part from other artists coming out now?

Well I definitely want to make a mark in the industry for the skaters, because besides being a skater I’m also a big supporter if the culture. I’m definitely known for being a stoner as well. I am also a big supporter of staying healthy which you will hear about in upcoming champaign’s.

24: What is the name of your current single and how did the song come about?

“My Life” is one of my recently released singles. I released the song just to prepare upcoming fans and listeners for my upcoming projects.

24: What producers have you worked with or would like to work with on this upcoming project?

I have done works with producers like Johnny Juliano, Cardo, Bathgate, Pace-O-Beats and a few indie producers on the rise. i would love to work with major producers like Kanye West, Swizz Beatz and The Neptunes.

24: Can you give us an estimation/time period on when that project will be available for download?

Right now I’m just yet trying to focus on building my buzz and brand; but i do have a mixtape coming out march 20th 2011 first day of spring, on datpiff hip hop blog and a few other mixtape sites.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you’ve been getting from the song so far?

I am loving the feedback from the music, definitely solid and building its own fan base.

24: What type of features can we expect on the project?

I’m mostly solo on this project but I do have features from a new Cash Money artist J-Lie and my right hand, Po-Prolly.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2011?

There is a lot to com in 2011 Tour Coming up for the spring and even more music, videos and press.

24: And when’s your album coming?

My album probably won’t be coming out for awhile so no set dates just yet.
