24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn't already know who you are.

Mr. Chris: I go by the name of Mr. Chris out of Atlanta Ga. East Point to be exact.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Mr. Chris: I've always been into music its pretty much in my blood. My pops is a soul singer so music was always played in the house all day. As far as the rap thing goes it started out as just way to get things off my chest. Then I formed a group with a few of my partnas called Black Out City and we started to get a little underground buzz then just recently we decided that I should work on some solo stuff. I was inspired by alot of the things i saw and went through and thats pretty much the same way i get my inspiration to this day.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you're from?

Mr. Chris: The Hip-Hop scene for me where i came up at was pretty much dominated by a lot southern artist. I came up on the Outkast, Goodie Mob, Ball & MJG, UGK, Three 6 Mafia was pretty heavy in the clubs then No Limit had their run so yeah like i said the scene for me was heavily influenced by southern artist but I was also heavy into 2pac. But at the same time I was the type of dude that like to be well rounded so I would listen to some East Coast artist too like Biggie and Jay.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Mr. Chris: I feel like I bring a lot to the game. What makes me unique is I can do a hot club song then turn around and do something for the ladies or a thought provoking song all in the same day. So I say that to say that I'm a well rounded artist so you can't pin me as the type rapper that can only make a certain type of record.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Mr. Chris: Right now, I am currently working on my new mixtape which should be out early fall. And I'm in the process of promoting one of my singles "That Special Girl" featuring Wingo (of Jagged Edge). I was also selected to be featured in the next Hood Affairs DVD as "Next to Blow". So this is a busy time for me and I'm loving it.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Mr. Chris: As of right now my producer Deville is handling the majority of the production but I have also worked with another producer out of Atlanta by the name of Chris Flame. I'm open to work with any producer that's got a hot sound.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Mr. Chris: I'm super excited about the feedback i have been getting so far its cool. I appreciate all the love from the DJs I have been getting and also my fans that have been checkin in with me.

24: In today's free download age, what do you need that you don't to make yourself a household name?

Mr. Chris: In today's game i think its more about people believing in you as a person and not just all about the music. So that's how the internet is so important now cuz your fans start to feel like they know you and can relate to you.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Mr. Chris: Right now the current state of Hip-Hop is cool. I can't knock nobody's hustle. But I do think there is starting to be a better balance then it has been the last few years so thats cool.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Mr. Chris: Really right now music is my main focus so once I get that where I want it to be then I'll start to venture and do other things. I am working on a social media website called theclubpage.com you should check that out and become a member.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2011 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artists out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Mr. Chris: By the end of 2011 I can see myself getting a lot of momentum going into 2012 after I drop this mixtape. The whole thing about me is I come from the struggle just like a lot of artist but my story is different. I speak for the people.
