24: For those readers out there that might not be up to speed with Nefu Da Don let them where your from and how long have you been rapping?

Nefu Da Don: I was Born and raised in the gritty streets of Brooklyn New York. Right now I’m in California working on my Album with my God Father Teddy Riley been living with him for some years now. I been Rapping for a while ever since I was small but i started to take it serious when I turned 16.

24: Who would you say were some of your biggest music inspirations that made you want to start rapping?

Nefu Da Don: Jay-Z is my favorite rapper hands down. I love Jay he’s the best to ever do it besides B.I.G.! Jay is on a whole other planet man, he’s incredible!

24: How much does it help having a mother like Queen Pen thats been in the game and knows the ins and outs and can help guide your career in so many ways?

Nefu Da Don: Man, my mom is so smart and she knows this music game like the back of her hand. What makes her diffrent from all these other rappers is that she’s actually really from the streets. My mom is a true GANGSTA(lol)! I’m just happy to have a mom that did this shit already because she won’t allow me to do wrong you know and she’s not just a mother but a mentor to me when it comes to this rap game!

24: You and Bow Wow recently went back and fourth with each other exchanging words which actually will end up in something positive such as a collaboration compared to diss records to when should the people be looking out for that?

Nefu Da Don: Well, me and Bow talked like I said recently in my Youtube video and things went good. I just hope everything he said was real because I’m a real nigga. I don’t like to play games, he told me to send some records to him so I sent him a Track to see if he would fuck with it. I’m no dick riding nigga so I’m not going to keep hitting him up about a song so I’m just waiting for him to get back to me.

24: With so many new artist dropping albums and getting signed every other day how will you separate yourself from the rest?

Nefu Da Don: I’m going to bring real Hip Hop to this game! Now, don’t get me wrong there are a lot of dope lyricst in the game today but there are not any real young dudes like myself that’s spitting bars you know what I’m saying. I’m going to try to be lyrical and sell records at the same time. A lot of artist are making only dance records to sell. I mean I will make those type of records but I’m going to mix it up also.

24: What’s some of the things your working on currently?

Nefu Da Don: Right now I’m working on my Album. I’m supposed to be doing something with Pedi Crack, Corey Gunz, and Wiz Khalifa. An only in my dreams am I doing something with Jay-Z (lol). I’m not trying to get too many features like that on my first album. I want to give the people a feel of me for the first album. I’m also trying to get into the movie business, its a movie called “818” that I might go out for a role. I recently chilled with the director and it was good vibes between us so hopefully that go down!

24: Your God Father is Super Prodcuer Teddy Riley so I know the fans are waiting for when you both put something out together and tell me what is like being able to work with a living legend?

Nefu Da Don: Man, working with Ted is crazy! He does not play at all! I mean you would think since were family that he would take it a little easy on me but he’s just a perfectionist. He takes his music very serious and that’s why every thing he does is a smash record. My god father is the best to ever do it since Quincy Jones point blank and there are many big producers that will say the same. Me and him got some heat coming and where going to shock the world so get ready!

24: What advice would you give to other up and coming trying to get into the game from your experience so far?

Nefu Da Don: Keep GOD first that’s the most biggest thing man for real. I speak to GOD every night and ask him for the strength to keep going and he seems to always give it to me. Also just believe in yourself don’t let no one put you down because every body in the world is not going to fill you thats just life! I know people who think my role model Jay-Z is wack. So if people can say that its just a prime example for you that everybody in this world is not going to feel your music!

24: What should everyone look out for from you in 2008?

Nefu Da Don: Just look out for Nefu Da Don baby I got a lot of things in the making. I’m not going to put it all out just yet but I will shock people trust that!
