24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your representing?

OhGinelle: Hello, everyone my name is OhGinelle and I was born in Brooklyn,New York and raised in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale,FL.

24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world and what separates you from other up and coming artist?

OhGinelle: I feel like I’m bringing a fresh face and a new sound to the music world! My music speaks for itself and that alone separates me from everyone else.

24: Who were some of your musical influences growing up and is there any singers out right now that makes you want to take your music to another level?

OhGinelle: Growing up, I was into Diana Ross, Sade, Tamia, and Brandy. All of these artists had that special something that could just make you stop in your tracks and listen. I would love to be able to influence and inspire others like these ladies have done for me. As for singers out right now, I have to give it to Beyonce. She is on top of her game in every aspect. Her talent is so powerful that she is undeniable.

24: Tell the readers about your new video you just recently shot with Dre Films for Searching/Tight-Up Skirt?

OhGinelle: What an amazing experience! Dre Films is such a talent and he really brought the vision to life! The first half of the video was for my song “Searching” which included cameo’s from my boys D-League. The song is really about being in a relationship with someone, who changes, and you wanting back the person you met in the beginning. It is definitely something that everyone can relate to. The second half of the video is a snippet of my song “Tight Up Skirt” which is a very fun summer song that allowed me to go back to my Caribbean roots. It’s very bright, colorful, and playful!

24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on?

OhGinelle: Right now I am working on my album. I’m putting together the perfect mix of songs that can appeal to all the masses. I want to have a project that everyone can listen to and enjoy.

24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future that you think would help bring you to a whole different level?

OhGinelle: I have been working with a few producers. I have worked with a few up and coming producers such as a production duo called Meal Ticket. Not to mention another duo from the U.K. called Layou & Danceey. I am planning to start working with more local up and coming producers because it’s always good for the home team to support one another. In the future, I would love to work with Ryan Leslie. He has such an eclectic yet classic sound and I think anything we do together would be amazing!

24: Do you have any plans of signing with a Major Label at this time or just keep building up your buzz at this moment?

OhGinelle: I’m definitely working on building my buzz. I’m working on branding myself as the next up and coming artist to watch, and hopefully one day soon I will get signed to a major or indie that believes in the “OhGinelle Brand“.
