24: What lead you to start doing music and who were some of your influences?

OJ Da Juiceman: I would say artist like NWA, KRS One, LL and people of that nature that are real big in the Hip Hop culture even till this day. Outside of that which got me started was living in a house with a couple of dudes and hearing a beat playing and just writing out a couple of bars, from then I just got better and better.

24: A lot of up and coming artist assume that record deals just come to artist when in reality it takes a a lot of hard work and grind so talk about what lead you to this point and how you got the attention of Asylum Records who will be releasing your album next month?

OJ Da Juiceman: It’s really because of my buzz I created for myself down here which lead them to contacting my manager and things went on from there.

24: What do you feel like your bringing to the world with your music?

OJ Da Juiceman: I’m bring my version, the OJ Da Juiceman version. I’m giving the world a chance to hear my story of what I been through coming up in the streets  and my Down South Swag.

24: Who are some of the people you have worked with on the album as far as artist and producers?

OJ Da Juiceman:
I really did not want to have that type of album. I wanted people to know me as a artist so I stayed away from all of the features. As far as producers I got Fat Boi, Shawty Red, Skeet and people like that.

24: I have to ask because I’m sure the readers are very curious as well as myself, How did your name “OJ Da Juiceman” come about?

OJ Da Juiceman:
Everyone call me “O Junior” so thats where the OJ came come from and the Juice part just came along and I have been called that actually since I was like around 5 years old.

24: What advice would you give to other up and coming trying to get into the game from your experience so far?

If this is really what you want to do stay focus, like with everything in life and grind hard. Definitely stay true to your music, put your music out there for the people and just work it.
