24: For those that may not know you,
introduce yourself and let them how long you have doing music?

Rich Hil: What’s good, the name is Rich
Hil. I have been doing music for about 6 years now. I have always been apart of
music growing up but never though about being an artist. I started out as a fan
of music with many influences. Then I started recording myself and at first it
was really wack but I kept working and found my sound. Spending 18-hour
sessions in the studio making 4 songs a day, doing mixtapes.

24: I really want to know who are some
of your musical influences because you sound is like no one I have heard in a
while?

Rich Hil: Jimmy Hendrix, if you get in
my car that’s what I’m playing to chilling in the crib Jimmy Hendrix.

24: Was creating your own lane and
making a fan base come to you compared to catering to a certain fan base what
you’re doing with your project?

Rich Hil: Yeah, because so many follow
instead of just making a lane and Alica Keys, Kanye West, Robin Thicke, John
Legend, and Amy Winehouse shows everyone that you don’t have to sound like
anyone.

24: How long have you been with
“Make You Famous” and how did that situation come about?

Rich Hil: I was in a rap group before I
became an solo artist and Sickamore who is an A&R heard my music and he saw
my work ethic and wanted to work with me even though my group did not get a
deal with Atlantic Records.

24: I know that you are signed to Full
Surface so how has that been so far?

Rich Hil: It was a perfect fit for me
because Swizz lets me do my thing and he’s young even though he has been in the
game for so long, he knows what he can bring out of an artist such as myself. I
could not have signed to a better situation.

24: I recently saw your chain which is
the Phantom grill, who came up with that and how much did that piece run you?

Rich Hil: Yeah, I was just trying to
get something different done but I’m not even on the chain thing right now, it
seems like everyone in the game has one.

24: Has being the son of world famous
clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger make some people ever doubted you and your
music?

Rich Hil: I would say at first but when
they let the music speak for itself everything else goes out the window. In
life you will always have some people who doubt you but you just work hard and
follow your dream.

24: How can someone hear more of your
music or get in contact with you for future collaborations?

Rich Hil: Message me on my myspace page
and I’ll get back to you ASAP www.myspace.com/Richhil.
