24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your representing?
Scotti Boi: I go by the name Scotty Boi aka Scott Free repping for Dade, Broward, & Palm Beach(Tri Kounty G’s)by way of South West, Miami.
24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world and what separates you from the next new artist?
Scotti Boi: I Display extraordinary versatility with real life scenario’s on some of the hottest production. Some of these new artist sound alike, its a plus that I don’t sound like anyone.
24: Who were some artist that you would say influence you musically?
Scotti Boi: From artist like JT Money, Too Short, Ice Cube, B.I.G, Scarface, and Rick Ross.
24: How did you link up with Maybach Music Group?
Scotti Boi: I knew Ross from the streets. My cousin Kano’s was really tight with him, and let him hear some music. Then I been putting in work for the team ever since. We did a hot street record together called “New Money“, shot the video and the rest is history.
24: I know you just finished shooting a video for your single “It’s in Me” so tell me how did that song come about and who produced it?
Scotti Boi: You know Hip-Hop is a very territorial industry, so I figure I should let the people know how I feel about my side. The record was actually produced by Todd, one of many hot shots on my line.
24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on?
Scotti Boi: My latest mixtape/ street album(Scott Free Money Driven”) is currently on the streets now! I got a track with Billy Blue on it called “Can You Handle Dat” we bout to shoot the video soon so be on the look out. “The Money Driven” DVD coming soon, and Triple C’s album “Custom Cars and Cycles” is on the way.
24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?
Scotti Boi: Producers such as Mean Dean, Supa Dave, Supa Nova, Taz Productions, NTB,CP Hollywood, Jim Johnson, Street Runner, L&L Pro. not to mention Miami Beat Wave just to name a few. I look forward to working with Akon, The Runners, DJ Khalid, Timberland and who ever’s on fire.
24: At a time when the music industry is at an Up & Down state which would you what to sign to an Indie Label or a Major?
Scotti Boi: I Myself have already been through all that indie stuff in the beginning of my career. I soaked up some game and started my own lable(Tri Kounty G Records Inc.). It’s good to be in control of your future, but now a days you need a machine behind you thats why I signed to MAYBACH MUSIC GROUP. We like the majors right now!
24: What should the readers look out for from you in 2009?
Scotti Boi: Stay tunned cause im on my grind, videos, movies, and continuos music.
