24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Shaady: My name is Shaady one half of the Shottaboyz. Born and raised in The Bahamas. Shout out to everyone in the 242!

24:Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Shaady: Well being from the Bahamas you’re always surrounded by music, it’s a very musical place. So from a child I was always around music. Watching BET and MTV, I fell in love with Rap, next thing I know I was rhyming for my bigger cousins and they was like, “Damn boy, you have a good flow.” As I grew older, I decided to take it more serious and started recording.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where your from?

Shaady: Before I hit my teens, Hip-Hop was almost non-existent to me, it was mostly Reggae, Soca, and our homegrown music which is called Rake n Scrape and Junkanoo. Since then the Hip-Hop culture has grown overwhelmingly over the years. There’s a lot of Hip-Hop artists in The Bahamas and we’re now getting played a lot more on the radio and in the clubs.

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Shaady: First of all coming from where I’m from, there are no Bahamian rappers that have successfully broken into the industry, so I feel I got a whole new style, energy, and cultural experience to bring to the game. Secondly, I say true to myself, I always keep it real in my music, most rappers don’t do that now a days.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Shaady: I have a mixtape I’m working on called “Busy Days & Sleepless Nights,” it’s Crazy!

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Shaady: The only producer I’ve ever worked with is my other half of the Shottaboyz, Stunna. He builds all of the beats for my songs. I’m ready to work with any talented producer in the game that can give me a different sound and feel for my music.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Shaady: Yes, I am very pleased. Been getting some great feedback. I’m now at a point where labels are trying to get in contact with me, so I’m extremely pleased.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need that you don’t to make yourself a household name To make yourself a house hold name in today’s industry?

Shaady: Making myself a household name is really about hustle. I’m dedicated to my music so I’m prepared for any opportunity that may come. I think the internet makes is easy than ever to be heard. I’m just gonna flood the internet with as much material (songs/videos) as possible. My music speaks for itself, so I should be well received.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Shaady: It’s okay with me, there are some real hot spitters in the game and there are some not so hot, so it’s balances out. Everyone is doing their thing and that’s all that matters.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself?

Shaady: Right now, music is my main focus. I have a lot of things that I want to do after the music, but for now, music is my all.
