24: Introduce yourself to the 24HourHipHop. com readers and let them know where your from?

Sonny Rich:The name  is Sonny Rich aka Queen City Trapman and I’m from Charlotte North Carolina. I’m here for one reason and one reason only, to put out good music!

24: Why do you think its been so long since a artist has made it out of North Carolina?

Sonny Rich: With me man its about the grind. If you want something bad enough only God can stop you so personally I feel like artist have not been willing to go all out to be successful in the music business.

24: Do you think when “The V. I. R. U. S. ” drops May. 20 all that will change?

Sonny Rich: I think so because I believe in my music and thats the difference between me and other artist they don’t believe half of the stuff that come out of their mouths.

24: What made you decide to go the Independent route compared to a Major?

Sonny Rich: Freedom and I say that because I don’t like not having total control of my music. I mean I created it so I should have that input and these majors are not giving that out.

24: You recently dropped your video for “Stunnerz” so tell what type of response have you been getting back so far?

Sonny Rich: It’s been good. I mean it hasn’t got to the point where BET or MTV is showing it but you know how that goes but the streets and the fans are loving it.

24: I”m feeling your new record “Dreamin” how did the concept for that come about and who produced it?

Sonny Rich:The concept came from a real dream I had. I was in a strip club and I was the only dude in there surrounded by hot Girls! The dude that made the track is the same producer that made “Stunners” a in house guy we got name RIngTone Jones!

24: Are you thinking about dropping that after “Stunnerz”?

Sonny Rich: Yeah, I’m going to drop at least 8 or 9 singles off the album.

24: What do you feel like you bring to the table with his music?

Sonny Rich: Pressure, because when other artist hear my music they know they have to step there shit up. I don’t take any days off.

24: Tell me about some other things your working on outside of your album and what’s next for Keeplock Entertainment?

Sonny Rich: Acting, Executive producing and raising my son. As far as the future we got a group album dropping around October or November this year. The group is called “D-Boy Committee” which consist of Myself, Yung Teph, Gutta and 4-Rio. I also have a book out called “Respect The Junx” where going to turn it into a movie called “The Order”.

Sonny Rich: The album is dropping May.20. It’s history in the making!The streets wanted a classic so I gave them one.
