24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your from?

Spinz: Ladies & Gents, I go by the name Spinz, Producer Extraordinaire , I brought you joints like, JD Era “Prince Of The North”, Anaya Hayes “Want It”, Kim Davis “Valentine 4 Life” and most recently; Bishop, JD Era and Drake “Shorty Grindin”. I’m originally from Kingston, Jamaica, but residing in, and representing Toronto to the fullest extent!

24: What made you want to become a producer? and who are some of your influences?

Spinz: Man, I think I was in like, grade 6 when I decided that I wanted to be a part of the music industry, it was back in the whole Bad Boy era, where Diddy was running the world, and I used to wanna be like him, but later on my influences and inspirations changed to a greater appreciation for the people behind the scenes like; Pharrell Williams, who has always been an idol of mine, Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins who manages to stay consistent and with the times for over a decade, even going back to Quincy Jones who is my all time favorite producer, to modern day producers like Polow Da Don, The list goes on forever.

24: What separates you from other up and coming producers that would make an artist want to get into a studio with you compared to another producer?

Spinz: I think like every great producer, I’ve developed a signature sound, to the point that when someone hears my music, they can tell that I did it, and it gets them amped to listen. Also when it comes to R&B music, my Vocal Production is on point, a lot of producers out here don’t even know what that is, so I’d say that’s what separates me.

24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on?

Spinz: Right now I’m working on the Kim Davis album, which is absolutely incredible, A new artist by the name of Trish, who is an R&b/Pop sensation in the making! JD Era, Drake, Rochester, Bishop, Rox, also my amazingly talented writers Omar Lunan and Luther Brown, who you can catch on So You Think U Can Dance Canada, Judging it up!! and many many more, my apologies to those that I forgot to mention,

24: Who are some artist you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?

Rappers I would like to work with Clipse, Jay-Z OF COURSE, Lil Wayne, ASHER ROTH is CRAZY, and as far as Canadian artists go, I haven’t had the opportunity to work with Belly, that would be cool, also Saukrates.

24: Do you have any plans on starting a label of your own and putting out artist yourself?
