24: Introduce yourself to the readers and let them know where are you from and how long you have been doing music?
Tash: What’s up 24HourHipHop.com! My name is Tash and I’m from New Jersey. I’ve been working on music for a while, I’d say somewhere around 6 years to be exact. I just put out my 1st single this summer, so its been a great feeling after years of hard work.
24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world?
Tash: I feel I’m bringing a New Sound, Edge & the complete package to the game as a singer, dancer and writer. I’m going to take it to the next level by touching on topics most females think of and do but don’t necessarily discuss out loud. I feel its time for some fresh faces as well, not taking anything from anyone already out of course.
24: Who are some of the people that influenced you musically coming up?
Tash: There’s been so many people I’ve been influenced by. My father for starters. He moved to New York to pursue music and that pushes me all the time, so that drive to succeed is in my blood.
Growing up my mom would always be playing Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Chic, Donny Hataway & Stevie Wonder among others so those were my biggest influences before I started making music myself.
24: Tell about some the projects your currently working on?
Tash: Currently I’m working on my album and creating my own sound which I call Couture & B. I love both music and fashion so I put them together to create something fresh. I’ve just recently got into songwriting for other artists as well.
24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?
Tash: Some of the producers I’ve worked with so far are: Kwame, The Corna Boys, StereoTypes, The Inkredibles, Super Sonics, Chris Henderson, Mad Scientist & KeyCity to name a few. As far as who I would want to work with that I haven’t had the chance to yet, I would love to work with Rodney Jerkins, Eric Hudson, B. Cox & Danja Handz.
24: As far as a Major label is concerned if you could choose your dream situation what label would that be?
Tash: Good question.. There’s a few labels that I like. I just want to be at a label that understands my sound and my vision, so I can’t say anyone in particular.
24: What should the readers look out for from you in the near future?
Tash: Look out for my single “I’ma Do Me” thats been rotating on the radio as well as in clubs for the last couple months. It’s also available on iTunes so make sure you go get that! Also I’m getting ready for some shows, they can check for updates on my myspace page.
24: How can someone find out more about to and check out your music?
Tash: All of my music and info can be found on www.myspace.com/NATASHAGOTNEXT, they can also purchase my single “I’ma Do Me” on iTunes and amazon.
24: Is there anything you want to say to the readers?
Tash: I want to tell them thank you for all the continued support they’ve given. And to just be on the look out for Tash! Thanks to 24HourHipHop.com as well!
