Oneders  who got a chance to sit down with us. They talks to us about what they got going on with their music career. We also get to check out their current projects and also hear about past and future projects as well.  The Gold'n Net also talks to us about life at home, family, and musical influences. Check out what the New Jersey bred rap group had to say and let us know what you think!

24HHH: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn't already know who you are?

The Gold'n Net: We are The Gold'n Net and we come from the town Elizabeth, NJ (also referred to as Eastwick). We're a hip-hop trio that came together in early in 2011. The group is made up by Tom Braudwé, Maverick Dred, and A.C. Oneders. The Gold'n Net is a group focused on putting out quality music that can make a lasting impact from a city that's known more for its crime and violence (It actually made the Top 25 most dangerous cities per 100,000 in 2010). We believe that our music has a unique sound and is very different from anything that is coming out from around the area.

24HHH: How did you come up with the Artist Name? Tell us about it.

The Gold'n Net: Well being that we are all of Dominican descent, we felt that one way we could represent our motherland was through our name. "The Gold'n Net" derives from the golden net that is wrapped around Dominican Republic's National Rum, Brugal. We felt that the net symbolized unity, a sense of prestige, timelessness, and an overall sense of purity. We basically saw an opportunity to be able represent our culture to the fullest extent. As far as our individual names:

Maverick Dred: "It was as simple as trying to make up a xbox live account.LLS!!! I was given the name "Dred" by some friends I had shortly after high school. I was the only guy in the crew wit dreads. Hence comes the day I'm trying to type "Dred"  for the Xbox live account and it happened to be taken. The first xbox generated named that popped up was " MaverickDred" and it stuck. My niggas been callling  MavDred ever since. AKA "Young Regal The Maverick" AKA "Young Regal" AKA "MavDred".

A.C. Oneders: "The name Oneders derives from my a.k.a A-One which is how most address me as in the hood. The letters A and C are the initials to my birth name. Im also referred to as "El Presidente"….."Im always on my presidential."…

Tom Braudwé: "It was pretty simple, I liked the name Broadway it just had a ring to it so I added the first half of my first and attached it to the front of it to come up with Tom Broadway. Funny thing is, the way Broadway was spelled was not as appealing as to me when I looked at it…so being that I'm always boasting about being on the French wave I decided to try new spellings. The Milwaukee Brewer's Ryan Braun's last name definitely played a part because I took the first half of his last name and basically added the "W and E" which came out to Braudwé. I added the accent to give a different look. Once the homies started calling me Braudwé it just stuck."

24HHH: Where are you from, what was it like growing up there?

The Gold'n Net: We are all from Elizabeth, NJ. Elizabeth is like any other urban area where poverty is around every corner. Its littered with crime, drug dealers,   bad housing…basically your run of the mill "hood". There aren't too many things that happen out here that could be glorified you know but its the city we hold dearest to our hearts. There's nothing like waking up to the smell of swamp water and cigarettes and going to grab a slice of Jorge's Pizzeria or Mario's Pizzeria. The city's vibe is quite busy, you always see ppl in the streets…Once they knocked down the Pioneer Holmes and Magloria Manners, those projects were turned into town houses and we just started chilling outside of bodegas and chicken shacks…

24HHH: Who were you raised by? Tell us your family situation. Got any brothers, sisters, or any siblings? Tell us about your childhood, and how it impacted your music?

The Gold'n Net: A.C. Oneders and Maverick Dred are 2 of 5 siblings. They were raised by a single Dominican mother that worked countless jobs and long hours to put food on the table. They grew up during tough times being that their absentee father…so they became men basically on their own. Braudwé is 1 of 3 siblings and was raised by two Dominican blue-collar parents who also worked long hours and basically did what it took to feed the family.

Maverick Dred: " Just watching the struggles my mother had to go through day after day made me want to try hard for her. Its what gives me the fuel and fire to be the greatest in a craft i love."

A.C. Oneders: "Being that poverty surrounds us, we see more failure than success in the area we come from. Growing up in Elizabeth, we usually don't see people make it out of here… I feel that through music we could be the face of success for the next generation."

Tom Braudwé: "Music's been in the family forever…my parents always had spanish music playing in the house and I was apart of the band in my elementary school growing up so the love for music was always there. Once I started listening to hip-hop I just fell in love with the culture and became hooked."

24HHH: What age did you start making music?

Maverick Dred: "I was 16 making "homie" records in Mass. with some friends i made through my stay with "G" my uncle. I connected with some neighborhood kids and started making music for people to hear".

A.C. Oneders: "I was living wit my uncle "G" at the age of 16 and he goosed me into free styling over an instrumental while we were smoking. Then it happened I made my first record on Fruity Loops and here we are."

Tom Braudwé: "I started making music at the age of 16 as well, with my younger and my younger cousin at the time. We used to record into a web camera that was connected to my computer…"

24HHH: What inspired you to make music?

Maverick Dred: "The power of the spoken word. I want to be the next great mind in the game. I wanna be amongst the Da Vinci's of our time.

A.C. Oneders: "From the day of my first free style I felt like I had the talent. Music gives me the opportunity to be timeless and I've always dreamed about outlasting infinity, what better way than music."

Tom Braudwé: "Believe it or not, Mase's 'Welcome Back' record inspired me to make music. Being that 'Welcome Back, Kotter' is one of my favorite shows I immediately knew where the sample came from…the song just sparked something. I was in Dominican Republic in the summer of '04 sitting in front of my grandma's TV and my first bar literally popped up in my head. Once I returned home from that vacation, I downloaded Acid Pro and started making the songs you will never get to hear…haha"

24HHH: What artists/producer do you work with? Or rubbed shoulders with?

The Gold'n Net: The producer we work with is the mastermind behind Alkatraxx® Studios, Kyzer Soze. He executive produced the entire "The Inauguration" EP. We're relatively early in our careers so we haven't had the opportunity to rub shoulders with too many ppl.

24HHH: What else you got coming out? Album, mix tape, or EP?

The Gold'n Net: We'll be dropping several new records aside from "The Inauguration" in the coming months that can be heard on www.thegoldnnet.com. We're also currently working on our second EP. We're looking to drop it later this year. Just check-in on our website for news and updates on upcoming releases.

24HHH: Tell us about your newest single. How did you come up with that, share the story?

The Gold'n Net: Our 1st single off of "The Inauguration" is titled "D'Ville". We basically were sitting in Braudwé's crib cyphering through instrumentals on soundclick.com and stumbled upon Mac D Productions page. We were going down the page listening to instrumentals and found that one. Once we heard it, the head nods came after and we decided the beat had a distinct sound and could be made into a good record. Braudwé heard something in it and once he began writing the hook the song itself took shape. We had no idea of how good it would sound, Maverick Dred jumped in the booth laid it down the hook down. Once the verses were composed we felt like we had something and the rest is history….

24HHH:  Any new travel plans? What you going on?

The Gold'n Net: We're in the midst of shooting our first music video for the "G.U.S.T.O" record. Outside of that, we're looking to set up a few shows out in Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and New Jersey to broaden the fan base. Again, we're working on the second EP. And we're focusing on continuing to provide quality music to our listeners, "The Net".

24HHH:  What's the biggest thing to happen in your career?

The Gold'n Net: The biggest thing is yet to come…

24HHH:  Where can ppl find you?

The Gold'n Net: They can find us on www.thegoldnnet.com. Look us up audiomack by searching Alkatraxx® Music. They can also find us soundcloud, Facebook and datpiff.com by searching The Gold'n Net

24HHH: Where do you see yourself going in 2014 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

The Gold'n Net: Well, we just want to impact game this year and introduce quality music that these listeners are being deprived of. We're dedicating ourselves to making music that will take you through our journey as we're coming up. We're bringing back good music that's actually worth listening to compared to the nonsense that's being blasted on the radio. We hear the same songs all day and everyday…We just feel that what we got is something new and fresh that people have not heard our there…Hopefully we get more people on board with the movement where Everything's Gold'n.

24HHH: . Any last words and shootouts…

The Gold'n Net: Yea we'd like to S/O Alkatraxx®, GoldyMack, Gury, D'Legante, ChupieLgit and Jonathan Sosa…all contributed to the movement one way or another!

We'd just like thank 24hourhiphop.com and Phil for reaching out to us and giving us a shot to spread the word!
