The Suit – Follow Suit

Today at 24hourhiphop.com  we got a chance to chop it up with a dope new artist who goes by the name The Suit. We talk to The Suit about what he has going on at the moment. We also learn about the origin of The Suit and musical influences. We also get to check out his official single "Moon Diving". Check out what The Suit had to say and let us know what you think!

24HHH: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are? 

The Suit: I am The Suit 

24HHH: How did you come up with your Artist name? Tell us about it. 

Where I come from you do not get to choose your name, your name is given to you. More often than not I would be the only person in a room wearing a suit so I was known around the village as the man in the suit but please just call me "the Suit". When we enter the union of entertainers we must go in front of a panel of past entertainers and they are the ones who decide your name and it’s all based on who you were, what you did and who you strive to become. 

24HHH: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there? 

I was born in a small village on the outskirts of Atomville with a population of only 20 million. We are located on the North East corner of the moon taking up approximately 1/14 of the moon surface. We are very industrious people and are known for our ability to entertain. Many popular actors/actress you know are from there. The conditions are cold and dark with extreme levels of pressure. We spend our whole lives working to one day have the opportunity to come to earth and spread our good energy. 

24HHH: What age did you start making music? 

Being born where I’m from is very different than most places, where I’m from you are born for one purpose and one purpose alone. I was created to be an artist, so if you ask me when I started to make music, I say I was born to make music. 

24HHH: What inspired you to pursue making music? 

The freedom to tell a story, illustrate a thought and express myself in the most creative way possible. The love of the craft and the opportunity to get off my planet and enjoy all of earths wonderful amenities.

24HHH: What artists/producers do you work with? Or rubbed shoulders with?

I'm fortunate to say that a lot of my friends on earth are in the industry. The producers that I have had a pleasure of working with would be Rich Kidd, Mason Payne, Big Pops, Arthur McArthur, Bad Neuz, Junia T and I’ve rubbed elbows with a number of local artist including Jelleestone and Kardinal official.

24HHH:  What else you got coming out? New Album? or Mixtape/EP? 

Our first album will be released this summer, the album “ Follow Suit” consists of 15 tracks and is already sold out here on the moon and is making some serious waves on the other planets. We also have two more videos that will be released, one on the fifth full moon of this year and the second on the seventh full moon. We are also featured in a Rich Kidd music video that was just released on March19th collecting media from all sides of the earth and are diligently working on the completion of our epk and much more to come.

24HHH: Tell us about your newest single "________", how did you come up with that, share us the story? 

Moon Diving is our first single, laced over Mason Payne's airy melodic production; this song describes the feeling of being on top of the world. Transcending space and time altogether, this is the kind of high you don't want to come down from. This song represents the beginning of the journey and simply asks the question, who's coming with me?

24HHH: Any new travel plans, what you got going on? 

I do not travel locally I time travel and planet bounce on occasion depending on the universe's energy. Albert Einstein developed a theory called Special Relativity. The theory of Special Relativity is very hard to comprehend because it differs greatly from what we experience in everyday life, but scientists have confirmed them. This theory says that space and time are really aspects of the same thing—space-time. There's a speed limit of 300,000 kilometers per second (or 186,000 miles per second) for anything that travels through space-time, and light always travels the speed limit through empty space. Special Relativity also says that a surprising thing happens when you move through space-time, especially when your speed relative to other objects is close to the speed of light. Time goes slower for you than for the people you left behind. You won't notice this effect until you return to those stationary people. This is why Moon Diving is my first single; you ask if I'm traveling…. I’d say yes, and faster than the speed of light. 

24HHH: What is the biggest thing to happen in your career? 

The biggest thing to happen in my career would be a recent phone call from a well-known manager by the name of Mr. B. He expressed interest in my brand and successfully set up a meeting with Tah Tah and Lenny S. at Roc Nation. We will be heading out to New York at the end of this month to discuss terms and conditions. Stay tuned… Follow Suit. 

24HHH: Where can people find you? Where do you see yourself going in 2014 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve? 

I feel that I have created such a recognizable brand that by the end of 2014 my music will be played globally and consistently. I separate myself from the rest because most artists rely on their image to sustain their music where I keep a hidden identity so that my music can speak for itself. I feel you always get what you deserve; it's just a matter of time and energy.
