24: For those that don’t know you, introduce yourself.

Tommy Trouble: It’s ya boy Tommy Trouble one half of the
group Blackhand, you know what it is.

24: Where are you from?

Tommy Trouble: I’m from Liberty City,
posted in Opa-Locka when I was 10, so Locks is what I claim. I’m from the crib,
Miami.

24: What inspired you to get into music?

Tommy Trouble: Really, this music shit is the way out for
me. Everyone told me I had a wicked jump shot or I was going to be an
entertainer. I had both. I felt of this as a way out and then I grew to love
it.

24: Who are some of your influences?

Tommy Trouble: The greats like Jay, Big, Pac.
I really fuck with Nas and my dude like JT, one of the dudes from the crib that
was making music down here that made sense that wasn’t on any bootie shaking
shit.

24: What would you say separates you from other artists that
are coming out?

Tommy Trouble: My lifestyle really. I been out in the
streets, niggas know my face away from this music scene, so everything I speak
on has validity to it verses niggas that are making crazy ass numbers about
dope prices and bullshit. Me, just being authentic in anything is say, that
when you hear me, you’re going to understand that my shit is real. It’s not
made up shit or me following people like [Rick] Ross or Brisco. That’s what a
lot a niggas do. They listen other rappers and base their whole lifestyle off
the next nigga.

24: Are you currently signed?

Tommy Trouble: No. I’m grinding right now. I got my own shit
Southside Entertainment and my co-venture with P.M. called Walking Money. We’re
trying to do this big. Shout
out to P. Shout out to Drop.

24: If you feel like your label could get the best
distribution, who do you feel would best fit your style?

Tommy Trouble: Any label that is big in their artist and
believes in their artist. You still got to hustle. In this industry, the way
things are changing, as far as album sales. You got to have a mean hustle to
get those album sales. Everyone is looking for ring-tone money, and its cool,
but there’s no longevity in that. I’m looking for longevity, so it has to be a
powerhouse that going to push. On top of that, any label looking to sign me,
I’ll sign as an artist as long as the numbers are right.

24: What are you currently working on?

Tommy Trouble: I’m currently working on my album ‘Million
Dollar Dreams and Federal Nightmares’ and I’m also working on a mixtape with DJ Drama and
Kay Slay hosting. We going out to fuck with Drama and we’ll see what it is. Me
and P got a mixtape coming out too, so stay tuned for that one.

24: What producers have you been working with?

Tommy Trouble: Half of my production is Drop, Super-Engineer, and Drop Deadbeats. I also got H.G., he’s
Pharell engineer and he’s hot. We’re going through paperwork with Swizz [Beatz]
right now. Clearances got to go through. I got a couple more.

24: What are your goals as an artist?

Tommy Trouble: To be that nigga. Plain and simple, be that
nigga. You going to recognize me as a force along with the likes of P.M., Trick
[Daddy], [Rick] Ross, Pitbull, Flo [Rida]. You going to have to get clearance
to come down here and fuck with us.

24: What advice would you give to up and coming artist in
this game?

Tommy Trouble: Be true to yourself. Be real to yourself. At
the end of the day, niggas in these streets is getting money. If you not
official from the jump, you going to be in a hole. To a new artist, handle you
craft, learn your craft and master your craft and be really with yourself.

24: Do you have any other ventures outside of music?

Tommy Trouble: Yea I’m into real estate. I venture outside
of Miami. I got
some places in West Palm. I love this city, but at the end of the day, rest in
peace to Sean Taylor, niggas are haters. In Miami, that’s what’s killing us, niggas is
haters.

24: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Tommy Trouble: Find me a few young niggas that understand
this game. But really, watching my kids grow up. I’ll still be in this rap shit
here and there, but I’ll be behind a desk watching my kids grow up.

24: Is there anything you want to promote?

Tommy Trouble: Check me out at walkingmoneymusic.com and
myspace.com/tommytrouble305 and that’s what it is. Look out for the new single
called ‘Stay In Ya Lane’ and the single ‘She So Sexy’ featuring P.M. and
Jovhan. That’s Toomp new R&B artist. That’s what it is. We going to go
ahead and make it a beautiful year.
