Introduce yourself. Who are you? Where are you from? What is your background / nationality?

I go by the name Vicky Vee, coming straight out of Miami and I’m 200% Haitian! I’m just a young creative soul searching for the vibes i want.

How did you get your Artist name?

My artist name is just a play on my actual name Victoria, I was very particular about not having a gimmicky name. Some people call me Vick, some people call me Vicky, other people call me Vee, so i just put it together: Vicky Vee.

What motivated you to get into Music?

I’ve always been into word play and word puzzles, anything that had to do with words. I also really loved music because my father was an aspiring musician, and i grew up listening to all kinds of music in the house .

What makes you unique / stand out as an Artist compared to the rest?

Most artists, especially the females lead with their sexuality not that i don’t use it as well from time to time, but i am more focused on bars and my word play. lyricism and artistry come first, everything else comes after.

One of the people that I’ve worked with multiple times is jimmy Dade, he is super kind and creative, super talented, and I really enjoy being around him in the studio and learning from him. I’ve also worked with Jbo from dreadwood, he’s another super talented super creative guy i really enjoy working with in the studio. Frankcastle is another artist I enjoy watching in the studio he is very serious when it comes to work and his creative process seems to be very natural and easy. Hood bratt also known as Nina Blaque, I’ve had the pleasure of working with her in the studio and on various other projects, I admire her work ethic and her creativity process as well.

What are somethings you would like to achieve and why?

I’m not to big on announcing or detailing my hopes, dreams, and plans but i will share that I absolutely intend to create opportunities for my family, friends, and those around me.

What are some past achievement worth mentioning?

I remember the first time a reputable Dj(DJ showtime of sniper gang) put one of my songs on his playlist(Get money), preforming at Supa Cindy, all female showcase, preforming at big chuck all female show case as well.

On a personal level, how would you describe yourself in detail?

I would say I am intellectual, creative, conscious, spiritual, sensitive, empathetic , fiery, free-spirited, understanding, articulate, daring, opinionated.

What is your latest single? What are you working on?

B.D.E/Big Big Energy is my latest single from my E.P. that’s dropping very soon I’m currently working on a mix tape.

In this music industry, what is something you learned the hard way?

Not to show case any work you haven’t yet release, and to not burn bridges.

How long have you been doing music? What got you into Music?

I’ve been taking music seriously for about a year and a half when I released my first visual. what got me into music, my dad used to play music ever single day, and that’s what we used to do for fun, anytime a new rap rock, rnb, or pop album was released my dad would buy them for me. Imagine being in 3rd grade listening to Scarface and Slickrick. So naturally i took an interest in music.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself in the music industry and why?

I see myself owning my own record label, because i am more than just a rapper, I am an artist, and i hope to acquire many other skills in order to add to my portfolio as an artist.

Influences from all genres in not particular order, Lauryn Hill, Gucci mane, Fugees, 2pac, Andre3000, Outcast, Beyonce, Trick Daddy, TLC, Van Morrison, Hot Boyz, Juvenile, lil Wayne, Busta Rhyms, Eryka Badu, Monika, Eve, Dmx, Nicki Minaj, Pastor Troy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Brandy, No Limit, Master P, Ludacris, Missy Elliot, Jackie-O, Bob Marley, Phil Collins, Elton John, 50cent, SWV, Micheal Jackson, UGK, 36mafia… and many many more.
