24: Introduce yourself to everyone and let them know where your repping?
Vito: What is people, I go by the name VITO a.k.a soon to be your favorite. Musically I started in Miramar (Swaab up knock Down what it look like) moved to the Norland area now I’m based in North Miami. I
rep for my niggaz and that’s what I’m repping!
24: What do you feel your bringing to the music world?
Vito: I feel like I’m bringing “Versatility”. I feel like the game is lacking versatility in a major way. I mean it’s cool to talk about sex, murder and drugs on a record but when you do that for 13,14 into a mixtape or album it gets boring feel me. Even though my arena is Hip-Hop I’m at home in any lane, so weather it’s a street anthem or a cross-over smash I can hold my own. That takes versatility and a lot of these artists today don’t got that. So I feel like that’s gonna set me aprart from the rest you know!
24: Who are some of the people that influence you musically?
Vito: I’m a 80’s baby so thats my foundation. I listen to all the of the pioneers coming up from Big, Pac, Jay-z, The Lox, Dre, Snoop, NWA, Pun and so on. I also listen to a lot of old school music too such as Stevie, Ray Charles,Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, even Billie Holiday she’s one of my favorite singers. She’s got this record called “Strange Fruit” that my mother put me on to when I was younger, it’s crazy. I’m just influenced by good music straight up!
24: Tell about your new single “Theme Muzik” Produced by Alion and how that song came about as well as some of the projects your currently working on?
Vito: “Theme Muzik” is what it is! It’s a motto for me and my gang get money til’ the casket drop ya dig! Alion Produced the track (shout out to him and the whole H.O.F Entertainment). I actually had the track for a while before I did anything with it. It was one of those nights and I was at the studio late going through beats looking for something to murder and when I heard the beat it was like hearing it for the first time. I turned it up and shit just started coming to me. I wrote the hook like in 5 minutes and got my nigga D-Nairo to lace it. Once he did his thing I went in the booth with no pen or pad and just “backtracked” and the rest is history.
24: Who are some of the producers you have been working with and who would you love to work with in the near future?
Vito: I’m been working with producers from all over but mostly my In-House producers like Money-Wills who produced “G’D UP” 60 Caliber and Novamatic. As far as main-stream goes, I respect what Cool & Dre been doing out here on them beats so I would want to fuck with them and Swizz Beats, not to mention Timbaland. I also like the music K.O. makes for T.I.P and I would definitely want to go in on a record from Kanye.
24: If you could choose any Major label or Independent Label which would you choose and why?
Vito: I can’t say I would pick any label over another because they all have there good and bad points. But if I had a choice it would have to be a label that fully understands what the grind is all about and understands my vision and I’m trying to do out here. I heard that Jay-Z shopping for a home for his Roc-Nation label and I wouldn’t mine being the face of that(lol)!
24: What should the readers look out for from you in the near future?
Vito: You can look for more quality music from a stand-up nigga ya dig! Got a mixtape that i’m working that’s gonna be crazy. I’m also getting ready to launch the “VOTE 4 VITO” campaign which is going to be the hip hop version of what Obama is doing out there cause i feel like people are ready for “change we can believe in” and I’m ready to step up and accept that challenge ya know. Also in the works is “VITO’S VIXENS” which is gonna be an outlet for female models both professional and amateur to socialize and network with their peers on a completely digital platform. They can find out which photographer is hot in their area or region, find out about up coming shoots and castings and shit like that. But i gotta warn them acceptance as a VIXEN is resevred for the fly and sexy only.
24: How can someone find out more about to and check out your music?
Vito: You know I’m going to say Myspace (lol)it’s www.myspace.com/vitodafuture to be exact I’m also working on my offical website so look for that real soon.
24: Is there anything you want to say to the readers?
Vito: Yea definitely shout outs to 24hourhiphop.com for giving me this oppurtunity. I also want to say thanks to everyone whose been riding with me for day one, your support is appreciated big ups to all my haters that been keeping me focused. G.T.E is still the mob Syndikit is still the gang and it’s still VITO! Fucks with me ya’ll I swear to GOD I know what I’m doing.
