24: What have you been up to lately?

Webbz: Just grinding
homie and constantly recording.  I got my
new single out “Helluva Day” produced by Midus and I’m putting the
finishing touches on my new mixtape “The Underdog” hosted by DJ Kronik
& Big Chuck. Other then that I’m just out here promoting, doing shows and
putting in that legwork.

24: What’s your situation with Czar
Entertainment at the moment are you still signed to them?

Webbz: Yeah, I’m
still over there, but I’m going to be a free agent in a minute. I’m going to
start focusing on my own company “Currency Xchange” with the help of my homie
JROC as well as looking for a new home.

24: Explain what its like for those
that don’t know what it is like after you get signed because most up and coming
artist assume that things are easy from then on but in reality it gets harder?

Webbz: You hit it
right on the head that’s when the real work starts. That’s when you have to go
even harder then you did to get your record deal. Another thing too artist must
understand they should never rely on a label to handle everything for them. You
got to get out there and grind for yourself and make thing happen, get your
buzz going and make yourself a priority at the label or you will never come
out.

24: I heard that you performed at the
Big Chuck Show what was that experience like for you and how did that situation
come about?

Webbz: Shout out to
Big Chuck for giving me that opportunity to do my thing! It was a great look
and it happen because I was on set that day and he asked me if I wanted to
perform and I ended up doing my song I have with Akon called “All I Know”.
Shout out to Big Chuck again for the good look

24: I know that you have your mixtape
out “Watch My Moves” tell about the response you have been getting from the
fans?

Webbz: It’s been
great the streets are fucking with me hard and I’m putting my city on the map.
I got fans from Fort Pierce to Europe
because of my mixtapes.

24: How did your record with Akon come
about and how big of a blessing was that for you to do a song with someone like
him?

Webbz: Right place at
the right time, I was working with Ron Lawerence, he made “Hypnotized” for
Biggie, “Where I’m From” for Jay-Z and he had the track with the hook on it
already at the time Akon was working with Czar so he made a call to Akon and
made it happen.

24: Tell me about some other artist you
would like to work with in the near future?

Webbz: Andre 3000,
UGK, T.I., Young Jeezy, NAS, Hov and Kanye that’s my dream list.

24: I recently heard your song you did
about the statement that was going around about Hip Hop being dead speak about
that a little?

Webbz: I was just
tired of opening magazines and reading websites, seeing rappers from up north
especially dissing Southern music. So I decided to speak on it and that’s how
the song “Beg to Differ” came about.

24: If you had the chance to choose
what major label you could sign to what label would you choose and why?

Webbz: DEF JAM, just
look at their track record Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, and Ludacris. Plus they have
been doing this since the 80’s till now and I feel like they help make you a
household name and that’s what I want to be branded.

24: Any last words you want to say to
the readers and the fans?

Webbz: “Watch My
Moves” the mixtape in the streets right now. Look out for my new single
mixtape “The Underdog” hosted by DJ Kronik & Big Chuck coming soon. Log on
