24: Let all of the readers know where
you’re from and how long you have been rapping?

Ya Boy: I’m from the Bay Area California, home of the pimps,
playas, and hustlers. I’ve been rapping since I was 19 and I’m 23 now.

24: Who would you say
was your biggest influence that made you want to make this into a career?

Ya Boy: I had a few influences growing up such as Master P
for his hustle an how he did it big in the Music Industry, Tupac for his ability
to be a leader an his heart and I always loved Jadakiss for his crazy flow an
word play.

24:  I know a lot
of people heard of the Hyphy Movement but still don’t really understand so
explain to them a little bit more because I know the brief stuff on MTV did not
do it justice?

Ya Boy: Hyphy, basically is to the Bay what Crunk Music is
to Atlanta and the Hyphy Movement was just something where Bay area rappers
coming together to get the Bay recognized.

24: You have been
making noise for a while and some of the readers might actually remember you
from being with Black Wall Street so tell what happened that made you go your
separate way and are you guys still cool but just not signed as an artist over
there?

Ya Boy: Black Wall Street will always be family to me but I
am my own man and I have my own style and my own movement.

24: How was it working with Cool &
Dre for your single “Holla At Ya Boy”?

Ya Boy: It was great look for me man. I really respect Cool
& Dre and the work they’ve done and I can’t wait to work with them again.

24: The video came
out real crazy. Who directed that for you and tell me about the love and
response you have been getting from that?

Ya Boy: Constellation Jones did it, I got a lot of love for
it. It was just some thing to throw out for the streets an internet and keep
the buzzing going but it wasn’t my debut single for my album or anything that’s
coming later.

24: I see you have a
new mixtape out “I’m Bout To Murdah This Shit” what should everyone
expect to hear?

Ya Boy: They should expect another classic! I went hard on
this one man and it’s probably some of my best work as far as street mixtapes
is concerned. I killed every song on it and that’s why I called it “I’m
Bout To Murdah This Shit”, u can order it off my myspace page at www.myspace.com/yaboy.

24: What else are you
working on?

Ya Boy: My debut album man this shit is going to be a monster.
It’s still untitled nor a release date because I’m just waiting for the right
situation.

24:  What do you
feel like you bring to the music world that makes you different from other
artist?

Ya Boy:  I feel I bring a new voice too Hip Hop and music
period for that matter. I’m always trying new things and don’t care what others
think, I don’t think I have a certain style or flow. I just do what the music
tells me to do.

24: What’s your
inspiration when you go into the booth and hear that beat?

Ya Boy: My inspiration is comes from all of my fans that hit
me every day telling me I’m their favorite rapper! That keeps me going knowing
that I touch people with my music.
