Who are you? Where are you from? What is your background / nationality?

My name is Young Flock & I come from all parts of Miami but my heart is in Allapattah. My family is Dominican & Grandparents Haitian.

How did you get your Artist name?

I received that name from acting hyper all the time, at that time there was a drug name flocka or flock mostly known in Florida my brother “Sosa” that passed away late 2017 gave me the name. He used to compare my raps to the effects flock was having on people which was turning them into monsters.

What motivated you to get into Music?

I was invited to the studio one day by my homeboy Creflo Brando he was heading there to go drop a verse for another rapper, I pulled up and I was just curious it was my first time being in the studio they asked me to Jump on the track, I was mad nervous so I didn’t. I ended up going back the day after and dropping a hot ass track, the rest is history.

What makes you unique / stand out as an Artist compared to the rest?

Versatility, melody’s, change of language & the island vibe I bring in my music, I am Dominican with Haitian background which gives me the best of both worlds. I can give it to you in English ,Spanish or even Creole if I really wanted to.

Let our readers know some of the names of people you have worked with. Provide references and write what you liked about working with them?

Akon, Billy Blue, Maffio, Stitches, Lajan Slim & the list goes on but it’s just crazy growing up and listening to them on tv then actually being able to work with these guys. If you know me you know I come from nothing, so honestly it’s a true blessing.

What are somethings you would like to achieve and why?

Man I really want to build hospitals for kids and open up opportunities for the less fortunate. I grew up in the Island so I was able to see the struggle for myself and even after so long nothing really changed because there ain’t no jobs you basically have to be born into a rich family to live comfortable other than that there isn’t much hope out there for you.

What are some past achievement worth mentioning?

Finding people that actually believe in what I was doing, working with bigger artist, having some of the top record labels in the industry contacting me, finding investors, finding a solid team, opening up for Kevin Gates tour and getting a call from Slim and Baby about my music is enough for me to consider it an achievement for me. There’s much more coming I’m just working, praying & being patient.

On a personal level, how would you describe yourself in detail?

Musically gifted I can make anything sound good, no matter how much I try I can’t make bad music if I wanted to. If you wanna know more about me and what’s on my mind all you got to do is listen to my music, it speaks for itself.

What is your latest single? What are you working on?

All Hooks & Wave were my latest singles but right now I’m gearing up to release my new project “Sosa” set to drop Sept. 13 this project means a lot to me as its named after my brother Sosa.

In this music industry, what is something you learned the hard way?

No one is here to be your friend, it’s all business at the end of the day.

How long have you been doing music?

About 3 – 4 years.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself in the music industry and why?

I’ll definitely have a big impact by then, any label you can imagine has tried to sign me. I know my worth, I know what I’m bringing to the table and ask anybody around me about my work ethic in the studio, I’m destined for this! This is for Sosa.

Who were some music influencers you listened to while growing up? What do you remember when you think about them?

Akon, Future, Young Scooter & Bob Marley, When I think of them it reminds me about the impact they had made in the game at the time.

To close out for your current and future fans, what are some last words and shout outs you want to give?

I want to thank me for not giving up on me. Secondly I want to thank me for believing in me. To all my fans keep looking out for my new music I promise I won’t let yall down, to my future fans beware of my music its highly addicting. Don’t do drugs!
