24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.
Young Suave: I go by Young Suave but they call me “Mayne.”
24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?
Young Suave: I use to be a real fan of the 90’s era of Rap/hip-hop growing up(s/o to the 90’s baby). I knew every rap song word for word, and my “Peoples” use to always tell me “You know more about rap than your own school work, you should try rapping..and ever since then i been writing and perfecting my craft..i started writing at 10 yrs old.
24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?
Young Suave: Like I said before and I’ll say it again 90’s era Rap had it all, especially in miami we had Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke, JT money Poison Clan, Pitbull, Trina… the list goes on, everybody had crews/Labels, videos were more cinematic and most importantly more fans, In Miami back then it was mainly about reppin the city but now its “Every Rapper For Himself” but I see history repeating itself in the near future though.
24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?
Young Suave: I think whats makes me unique is how I flow, 9 times out of 10 I’ll wont come with the same style on every track. Every Artist has their own singnature flow including me, I just feel like I have a wide variety of styles, you can feel my presence on mic, my stage presence is on point, my swag is fierce, confident!!… For an Underground Artist lol.
24: Tell us about what you are working on.
Young Suave: Well rite now i got my new mixtape “Mayniac” Droppin in Friday on Datpiff and Livemixtapes.com, also me and my label mates are droppin a compilation mixtape and then rite after that im droppin an Ep called “Trapped In The Booth V2.” It’s a follow-up 4rm my 1st mixtape Vol.1,so it’s work work work 4 me.

Young Suave: I’ve worked with mainly my In-house producors (5ive Star Ent./Major League) Mo-x-Clusive, Tim Royce, S.R., and I’ve currently been workin with Mike Mulah, we have a record together called “Work” Its goin to be on the new mixtape “Mayniac”… I Would like to work with Timberland, Lex Luger, Missy Elliott, I know that she’s not mainly known for her music production as much as her rap career, but she’s got credits and I’m a big fan of her work all around. “I think we could make magic.”
24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?
Young Suave: No, one thing about me is that “I’m my own hater” in other words “I’m my toughest critic” the feedback I’m getting is good but it should be better especially for the type of music that I’m puttin out. So right now I’m disturbuting my music digitally worldwide, but in my hood the streets love me, lol.
24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?To be honest I’ve already been doing what i seen myself doing in 2012, so I’m on to the next thing more shows, videos, more collaborations, Extending my resume, making the right contacts and putting in this real grind.. I’m Playin “Catch Up, No matter how ahead of the game I think I am I will still feel like I’m behind.”
Young Suave: Every resource on the internet as far as downloading and promo, Use It!! “Neva pass up on an opportunity to promote yourself.” That’s what I applied to my grind.
24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?
Young Suave: Hip-Hop is in a state of Capitalism, with the introduction of Hip-Hop to the mainstream, artists are now able to have their hands in all markets of entertainment.from film roles to shoe endorsements and Product branding…”Sky’s the Limit.”
24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?
