Yesterday marked the very day of the semi-conference finals for both Eastern and Western Conferences. Starting out in the West in the first game with the Grizzles vs Thunder. During the regular season the Thunder finished #4 out West and the Grizzles finished #8 but it was the Grizzles who finished off the #1 seeded Spurs which shocked a lot of people and I’m sure got the attention of every single team in the Western Conference especially the Thunder. So what might have been a easy series with the #4 seed going up against the #8 seed but I’m personally expecting this series to go to a Game 7. An Continuing their great Playoff run inGame 1 the Grizzles beat the Thunder at home 114-101 behind Randolph’s 34 point performance. Kevin Durant 33 points and Westbrook 29 points still wasn’t enough to stop the red hot Grizzles. Game 2 will be on May.7th at 5:00pm on ESPN as the Thunder tries to even up the series. In an ABC double headed the Celtics went to Miami to face the Heats for Game 1 of an exciting series that every fan/critic have been awaiting since the start of the 2010-2011 NBA Season. With the Heats adding notable stars such as Lebron James and Chris Bosh to their team many figured that the Heats were the new team to beat in the East and it’s been noted that last years Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics took offense to that and made sure they brought their a game at the beginning of the NBA season when both teams faced each other. The Celtics took a 3-4 regular season victory over the Heats be it was towards the end of the season when the Heats blew out the Heats before heading into this years Playoffs which was a game that many Heats fans felt the Heats had to win and they did. An even though the Celtics won 3 of 4 in the regular season. The Heats finished #2 in the Eastern Conference and has home court advantage which might play a factor or might not but if your looking at last years finals I’m sure the Lakers played off their fans at home and prevailed to a Game 7 victory, but in Game 1 the Heats defense made the Boston Celtics look like an aging veteran team at the end of their run as Dwayne Wade lead the Heats with 38 points to a 99-90 win at home. Lebron James chipped in with a solid 22 points, 5 assist, 2 blocks, 2 Steals not to mention James Jones 25 points as he took the load off of Chris Bosh who only shot 3/10 and ended the game with 7 points. This was a great victory for the Heats but to beat the Celtics I personally think the Heats will need Chris Bosh to dominate the paint and control the boards. An for the Celtics they will need a much  better floor game from their point guard Rondo who only chipped in with 8 points and  7 assist as he got into early foul trouble. All-Star Shooting Guard Paul Pierce who left the game with an ejection and 19 points on 6/14 shooting. Game 2 of this series will be on Saturday at 8:00pm on ABC. An just as expected both teams gave the fans just what they wanted and more Plus tonight on TNT starting at 8:00pm it’s the Hawks vs Bulls followed by the Mavericks vs Lakers at 10:30pm.
