Well this is an interesting story and i can’t help but wonder how far this will go’ super star NBA player Kobe Bryant is taking his mother to court to stop her from auctioning off his high school memorabilia. It’s true Kobe was shocked to find out his mother had his early prize possessions up for auction and had already received a $450,000 advance from Goldin Auctions in Berlin, N.J.

My question to Kobe is if these things were so important to you why didn’t you have them in your possession in the 1st place,I mean seems like your mom has been holding on to these items for almost 20yrs.At any rate Kobe wants his stuff back and the auction company wont return them since they have already coughed up big bucks and spent more money on advertising the sale. The auction is scheduled for June but Kobe and his lawyers are not planning on giving up and is ready for there day in court to stop the sale.

Hers is a list of a few of the items

Kobe’s  jerseys, practice gear and sweatsuits from Lower Merion High School; varsity letters; a trophy for being the outstanding player at the 1995 Adidas ABCD basketball camp; and a signed basketball from the 2000 NBA championship game.

And then there are rings, for the 1996 Pennsylvania high school championship, a pair that the Lakers made for Bryant’s parents for the 2000 NBA championship and one from the 1998 NBA All-Star Game.

According to court filings, Pamela Bryant struck a deal in January with Goldin Auctions in Berlin, N.J., which earlier this year sold a rare Honus Wagner baseball card for a record $2.1 million.

She got $450,000 up front, which she intended to use for a new home in Nevada.

The disagreement is a high-value, high-profile version of a question many families face: Can Mom get rid of the stuff a grown child left at home?

A source told ESPN that Kobe Bryant offered to pay his mother up $250,000 toward a home she wanted.

Where tol Kobe has already giving his parents millions of dollars in the past so to me i think mom should just throw in the towel and give those people there money back.
