The Semi-finals for the NBA Playoffs are over and the show has just begun. The Lakers have finally ousted their nuisance the Houston Rockets and are on to face the Denver Nuggets for a chance to win the NBA championship. The Orlando Magic is also on their way to play against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Los Angeles Lakers played like the team we all know and love outscoring the Houston Rockets 89-70. Pau Gasol grabbed 18 rebounds and scored 21 points dominating of both sides of the court, offensively and defensively. The team overall accumulated 55 rebounds, 20 more than the Rockets, and collectively blocked 10 shots. Trevor Ariza scored 15 points and Andrew Bynum had 14. Kobe Bryant also had 14 points and finished with five assists and seven rebounds. Brooks led with 13 points and Luis Scola scored 11 for Houston. Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets will begin on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

The Orlando Magic also had a good game 7 against Boston Celtics, the defending champs, and took them out 101-82. Turkoglu scored 25 points and assisted in 12 of their points. Dwight Howard had 12 points, 16 points and blocked 5 shots for the Magic.

The Garnett-less Celtics were no match for Orlando in game 7. Ray Allen scored 23 points and Paul Pierce followed with 16 for Boston. Orlando will advance to the conference finals for the first time since 1996, when they were swept by the Bulls.
