This weekend in sports there were alot of upsets during the NFL divisional playoffs. The New Orleans Saints massacred the Arizona Cardinals Saturday evening 45-14. The Cardinals lacked in defense & was no match for Brees’ pass or Reggie Bush‘s running game.
Drew Brees threw for 247 yards & finished with three touchdown passes.  Bush was able to score on an 83-yard punt return and an amazing 46-yard run in the first quarter. Bush ended the game with 84 rushing yards, 24 yards receiving and gained 109 yards on three punt returns. Marques Colston also caught six passes for 83 yards & scored on a drive.
Kurt Warner finished with 17 out of 26 completions for 205 yards & besides Hightower’s 70 yard touchdown on the first play, the Cardinals ran for only 31 yards.
The Saints are one victory away from thier first ever Super Bowl appearence & they will host the NFC title game for the first time in their franchise history next weekend against the Minnesota Vikings.

Four time NFL MVP winner Payton Manning was on point Saturday night in the divisional playoff game, throwing two touchdowns in the Indianapolis Colts‘ 20-3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Manning was 30 of 44 completions for 246 yards and is now 8-8 in the playoffs.
Joe Flacco completed 20 passes out of 35 for 189 yards, was picked off twice & the Ravens ended with two fumbles & 11 turnovers.
The Colts, who has only 2 losses this season, will host the AFC championship next Sunday against the New York Jets.

Brett Favre sent the Cowboys home with packed bags whoopin them 34-3 in Minnesota’s victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Favre finished 15 for 24 for 234 yards without a turnover.
Favre, the first 40 year old quarterback to win a playoff game, threw 4 touchdown passes. Sidney Rice recieved 3 of the touchdown passes, setting a Vikings playoff & tying the NFL record.
Tony Romo was 22 for 35 for 198 yards and was sacked a total of 6 times, three of em from Ray Edwards tying the Vikings’ franchise record for sacks in a game. TE Jason Witten led Dallas with 10 catches and 98 yards.
The Vikings will be playing the N.O. Saints next Sunday at New Orleans for the NFC Championship.

Jets rookies Mark Sanchez and Shonn Greene led New York to a surprising upset in San Diego during the divisional playoff game on Sunday aganst the Chargers. Sanchez was only 12 of 23 with 100 yards, the fewest by a Jets quarterback in a playoff win, & Greene’s 53 yard Touchdown run was the second longest TD run in Jets postseason history. Thier efforts in the final quarter helped the Jets win 17-14. Jets DE Shaun Ellis left in the first quarter with a hand injury, but returned.
Philip Rivers finished with 27 out of 40 passes completed for a total of 298 yards with only 1 touchdown pass. San Diego’s All-Pro kicker Nate Kaeding missed three majorly important field goals & put an end to the Chargers’ 11 game winning streak.
The Jets who has won seven of their last eight games will advance to the AFC Championship game for the first time since 1999, facing the Indianapolis Colts.
