It’s win or go home today for the defending World Champion Yankees. The Texas Rangers has made the Yankees look more like the team everyone saw during the ending of the regular season and far from the team that won it all just last year. Through out 4 games so far the Rangers has out scored and out pitched the Yankees outside of Game 1 where the Yankees brought their will to win and came back from being down 5-0 to win the game with a 6-5 victory. But since Game 1 the Yankees has failed at even scoring 6 runs again with a Game 2 score of 7-2 in a loss and Game 3 ending in a 8-0 loss(where Cliff Lee pitched an amazing lights out game and shut down the Yankees hitters)followed up by last night heart breaking loss at home 10-3. The Yankees actually stated things off perfect and looked great early as they held a 2-0 lead early in the game before Berkman home run was reviewed and taken away. The Rangers quickly tied back the game 2-2 after the Yankees made a few small mistakes and than scored again in the third inning with great play by Derek Jeter at that point. An speaking of Derek Jeter who passed Bernie Williams last night with his 32nd Career run scored in a LCS Game and also played his 50th Career LCS Game this past Monday surpassing Ramirez on the All-Time List. But it was in the 6th inning where the Yankees biggest mistake was made leaving Burnett who pitched very well in the game with one man already on base, Yankees manager Joe Girardi decided to give the signal to walk the next batter and pitch to Molina who ended up hitting a home run and giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead! From there on the Rangers never looked backed with great pitching from Holland and horrible pitching from the Yankees relief pitchers who did nothing except give up runs for the rest of the game. Even though the Yankees looked to chip at the Rangers lead in the 8th inning to no avail. An if things couldn’t get any worst for the Yankees after Teixeria who is the teams best first baseman goes down with a season ending hamstring injury which he pulled running to first base in last nights loss. Game 5 will be a match up with the Yankees best pitcher Sabathia taking the mount going up against Wilson. The game will be played today in Yankees Stadium as the defending World Champions face elimination today at 4:07pm on TBS. Can the Yankees come back to win the series seems to be the questions every beloved Yankees fans are asking themselves right now or is the Texas Rangers as a team just simply better this year?
