On Thursday’s (Dec. 17) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska Wayno and DJ Akademiks conclude their Finale Series by going down memory lane and providing a detailed recap of the creation, run and impact of Everyday Struggle during its 3.5-year run. Nadeska and Akademiks kick things revealing how initially they had each other blocked on social media, and give behind-the-scenes stories that lead to the show’s first episode that aired, April 10, 2017, with Joe Budden. Nadeska and Ak then discuss Budden leaving the show, the search for a new host, and how Wayno came on board.The trio then looks back at the very first episode they recorded together in Spring 2018. Later, the crew talks about their experience doing live shows and meeting fans at ComplexCon each year and afterwards react to clips of the first and second Everyday Struggle Awards.The crew then recaps the life & studio adjustments made following this year’s COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges of having to shoot remotely. To close out the final episode, DJ Akademks hosts the last installment of ‘Ak By The Numbers’ as he runs through show stats like top episodes viewed, number of guests, average minutes per episode and much more. Lastly, Nadeska, Ak and Wayno share their last memories, thank fans for their support and say their final good-byes. Cheers to the end of an era!
