On Monday’s (June 1) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show sharing their grievances for the murder of George Floyd, who was viciously killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. The crew also shares their personal encounters with law enforcement and speak on Jay-Z’s statement, furthering the plan to get justice for Floyd’s murder. Next, the EDS squad discusses Lil Wayne’s recent conversation with Fat Joe on Instagram Live, where he stated ‘we have to stop blaming everyone with a badge.’ Later, the trio gets into an intense discussion about the cancellation of TikTok amongst black users, and the importance of other social media platforms using their brands to be activists within the movement. In relation, the crew talks about Twitter calling out President Trump for his harmful tweets against the recent protests happening in response to the senseless murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and many more before them and lastly, the EDS crew announced their participation in the Music Industry Blackout occurring on Tuesday, June 2 in direct response to the recent events. #TheShowMustBePaused
