On Thursday’s (Aug. 15) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks are joined by North Carolina rapper Rapsody. Rapsody discusses her upcoming album ‘EVE’ and the writing process behind the project. Soon after, she speaks on the power of exposure and maintaining a musical balance. Later in the episode, Rapsody expands on the recent comments from Jermaine Dupri regarding female rappers and the difference between male and female artist development. Afterwards, the EDS trio and Rapsody highlight a few tracks off of her upcoming album. She then elaborates on working with D’Angelo, Queen Latifah, J.I.D. and many more. Later in the show, she speaks on the state of female rap and gives her Top 5 Female Rappers at the moment. Shortly after, Rapsody and the EDS crew shares their thoughts on a recent tweet from Mr. MfneXquire in their ‘Big Facts or B.S.’ segment, and to close out the episode, the trio and Rapsody touch on the evolution of freestyling.
