On Wednesday’s (June 3) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show discussing Blackout Tuesday movement, and how the music industry responded to the cause. The crew then reacts to President Donald Trump threatening to send U.S. Military forces into American cities to disrupt peaceful protests. Soon after, the trio shares their thoughts on The Weeknd and Russ urging labels and streaming services to donate for racial injustices. Later, the EDS trio weighs in on Barack Obama and Cardi B encouraging people to go out and vote in their local areas and then talk about the importance of using your voice to spread the word and how you can show your activism, while at home. Lastly, Ak, Wayno and Nadeska comment on Complex News’ recent interview with Stacey Abrams, where she spoke about voter suppression, and Malcolm Jenkins and Rapsody interview on voting promotion.
