‘Dragon Ball Z’ became an instant cult classic when it aired in the U.S. in the late ‘90s on Cartoon Network. The show was a sequel to the Japanese series and manga Dragon Ball, which was first written and drawn by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The long-running series famously launched a collectable card game, along with clothing merchandise and video games that are still being released to this day.
