As hip-hop evolved over the course of the 2010s, one thing that remained the same were rappers’ love for name-dropping iconic luxury brands. Kanye West and Drake both repped shoe brands like Nike and Adidas respectively, and continuously dropped them into their songs, while hits like “Gucci Gang” had some very direct links to a certain fashion staple.

According to Genius data, the top five brands of the decade include Gucci, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Comme des Garçons and Louis Vuitton, with Gucci narrowly beating Nike and Mercedes at more than 12,282 mentions in lyrics over the last ten years.
