Henry Gordon-Smith is an agriculture-technology consultant based in New York City whose work takes him all around the world. While traveling in early-March through Oman, the COVID-19 pandemic happened. Since Henry is not an American citizen and there was looming uncertainty about the length of the quarantine, he decided to stay in Oman.

Now, it’s been more than 70 days that he’s spent abroad without any available flights home. VICE spoke to Henry and documented his nearly three-month experience stranded overseas.
